Emcee’ing has become one of my greatest joys in the last nine months, and I’ve now had the distinct privilege of emcee’ing ten open mics for my community —supporting 96 individual performances of folks sharing their music, poetry, artistry, talents, and most notably, their hearts. 🖤🎶

It’s been a long while since I’ve posted here, and life has changed a lot since I was a cosplaying university student. I’m now carving out the first steps of my postgrad life, which has looked like living and working full-time in a small remote mountain community for the last thirteen months! I’ve been so enriched by this new (to me) artistic medium of creative performance art —and it was cosplaying Data that first taught me how to paint my face white with @mehronmakeup 😉✨ If you’re still here after 15 months of social media silence, thank you for your follow and your care for my art! I’m still here seeking joy in nerdy passions and dressing up, it just looks a bit different living so far away from society (and cons and photographers and the pnw cosplay community) at the moment. Recently fell head first into @hazbinhotel & helluva boss, which was unexpected, but I’ve really been loving so many of the thoughtfully designed characters in this universe! 🥰 A friend requested that I try a Lucifer makeup test, which turned into taking a bunch of silly selfies around the house in this closet cosplay of a certain short rubber duck enthused king. I haven’t done any sort of cosplay since halloween, so it was so nice to stretch these muscles post-graduation and enjoy some cosplay serotonin again! 🥰✨🍎

debuting my college graduate cosplay~

Wanted to share a few grad photos taken by the incredible @lindzapz and share a little personal update: In December, I graduated cum laude with my B.A. in Business Administration and a minor in German!

Feeling a lot like Frodo’s “I wish it need not have happened in my time” when it comes to my experience and challenges as a college student, and these two months since graduating have certainly brought their own challenges —but I did it. 🥹 [Insert Frodo’s “It’s done” Mount Doom image here.] It feels like awhile since I’ve done any proper cosplay, but cosplay will always be an important part of my nerdy heart - thank you to the friends, creators, photographers, and followers who still are here in this little “Iceberg Lounge” I have here. My years at university would’ve been much different without the access to these nerdy communities that I have been gifted and stumbled into through this account! 🫂 In the interim, I’m living in Oregon with family and figuring out what comes next in this adventure of mine. Reposting a pre-pandemic favourite in honour of Brent Spiner’s 75th Birthday and Data’s -312th! 🫶🏻✨This character has meant the world to me since elementary school and I feel so grateful that Data’s story has been able to resonate and support me throughout so many phases and struggles of living a disabled human life! 🥹 Forever and always a Data fan. Though it feels like forever since I’ve cosplayed him, it brings me such deep joy to see old photos of my Data cosplays and see the intersection of myself and this very special android ~

It’s no cosplay photo, but I wanted to share a more personal look from my cousins absolutely magical wedding in Sweden! 💙 We spent the entire wedding weekend at a splendid castle with beautiful grounds and incredibly attentive staff - and it was an experience that I’m so grateful to have been apart of and that I’ll truly never forget. 🥹✨
