Winter road grime, salt, and dirt don’t stand a chance against dry ice blasting This pickup’s under chassis is being stripped back with dry ice, removing years of buildup from bad roads and winter conditions. As you can see, the chassis is brought back to near factory condition. The perfect base for applying Lanoguard protection coating to help keep it that way. Hi everyone, I’m Chris, the owner of Ice Blast NI! Dry ice blasting and automotive preservation are still relatively new to a lot of people, so I’m hoping to start sharing more of what goes on behind the scenes, the vehicles we work on and exactly what we do here at Ice Blast NI. 🚗 This is my first attempt at getting in front of the camera, so bear with me! 😂 In this video, I’m giving you a quick look around the workshop, showing you some of the cars we’ve got in this week and chatting about the different types of vehicles we work on. Hopefully, this will be the first of many videos! 📩 Interested in protecting or restoring the underside of your vehicle? Swipe across to see this Ford Focus RS go from arrival to fully cleaned and protected 👀 These photos show the full process from start to finish. First, how the Focus RS arrived with its existing wax coating still in place. Then, halfway through the dry ice blasting process, where you can really see the difference between the old coating and the original surfaces underneath. And finally, completely dry ice blasted, cleaned and protected with Bilt Hamber Dynax UC clear protection. This is exactly why we’re such big believers in protecting good cars early. The existing wax had done its job and once removed, the condition of the original steel underneath spoke for itself. Rather than simply applying another layer on top, we removed the old protection, cleaned everything back and started again with a fresh clear coating, allowing the condition and originality of the underside to remain visible while giving it protection for the years ahead. There’s a reason we always say protect them early. This Ford Focus RS came to us with an old wax protection coating underneath. Once the dry ice started removing it, you could immediately see just how well that coating had done its job. Underneath years of wax was exceptionally well preserved original steel exactly what you want to find. 👌🏼 That’s the real benefit of protecting a car from a young age, or ideally from new. A quality coating takes the punishment from water, salt and road grime so the original metal doesn’t have to. We completely stripped away the old coating using dry ice blasting, thoroughly cleaned and prepared the underside, then protected it all over again with a fresh application of Bilt Hamber Dynax UC clear cavity and underbody protection. The goal isn’t to cover up what’s underneath. Clean it. Preserve it. Protect it. ❄️ BLAST & PROTECT ❄️ This aluminium rear swing arm on a **Mitsubishi Evo **6 had previously been unnecessarily coated in Dinitrol, completely hiding the original aluminium finish underneath. At Ice Blast NI, our goal isn’t always to add more coatings. Sometimes the best result is carefully removing what shouldn’t be there in the first place. ❄️ We started with Dry Ice Blasting to safely remove the Dinitrol coating and expose the original aluminium underneath. ⚡ Once the bulk of the coating was removed, we used our Laser Cleaning system to tackle the remaining stubborn residue and contamination, allowing us to work deeper into the surface and bring back a much cleaner, more original OEM appearance. The result is exactly what we were looking for. A clean aluminium swing arm that actually looks how it should do again, rather than being buried underneath a heavy black coating. For cars like this **Evo **6, preservation is just as important as protection. We want the underside to be clean, detailed and protected where necessary, while retaining as much of that original factory appearance as possible. ❄️ Dry Ice Cleaning ⚡ Laser Cleaning 🔧 Underbody Detailing 🛡️ Corrosion Treatment & Protection 🚗 OEM Underbody Restoration All carried out in house at Ice Blast NI. 📩 Message us if you want to transform the underside of your car and bring back the details that have been hidden for years. #IceBlastNI #MitsubishiEvo6 #Evo6 #MitsubishiEvo #LancerEvolution Evolution6 LaserCleaning LaserCleaningNI DryIceBlasting DryIceCleaning DryIceBlastingNI UnderbodyCleaning UnderbodyRestoration OEMRestoration CarRestoration VehicleRestoration UnderbodyDetailing CarDetailingNI JDM JDMRestoration JapaneseCars PerformanceCars NorthernIreland Belfast Lisburn by @iceblastni
🔥 THIS is what we mean when we say “we clean the underside of your car”🔥 At Ice Blast NI, we don’t just make an underbody look cleaner we go after the dirt, corrosion and contamination hiding in the details. ❄️ Dry Ice Blasting gives the underside a deep, non abrasive clean, removing years of built up grime, grease and contamination. ⚡ And now we can take it even further with Laser Cleaning. For customers who want that extra level of detail, our laser cleaning service allows us to target suitable metal components and remove stubborn corrosion, oxidation and contamination bringing parts like this stainless steel exhaust section right back to life. This is the difference between giving the underside a quick clean… and properly detailing and restoring it. ❄️ Dry Ice Cleaning ⚡ Laser Cleaning 🔧 Underbody Detailing 🛡️ Rust Treatment & Corrosion Protection 🚗 Classic, Performance & Modern Vehicles All carried out in house at **Ice Blast NI. ** If you’re investing in the underside of your car, we believe the parts you don’t normally see deserve the same attention as those you do! 📩 Message us for underbody cleaning, dry ice blasting, laser cleaning and protection packages. #IceBlastNI #LaserCleaning #LaserCleaningNI #DryIceBlasting DryIceCleaning DryIceBlastingNI UnderbodyCleaning UnderbodyRestoration CarRestoration VehicleRestoration RustRemoval CorrosionRemoval UnderbodyDetailing CarDetailingNI ClassicCarRestoration PerformanceCars NorthernIreland Belfast Lisburn CarRestorationNI by @iceblastni

Dry ice isn’t just for creating impressive effects it’s also one of the most effective industrial cleaning and surface preparation methods available. Dry ice blasting is a non abrasive, non conductive and environmentally friendly cleaning process that removes contaminants, grease, paint, carbon deposits and residue without damaging the underlying surface. Unlike traditional blasting methods, dry ice sublimates on impact, meaning there’s no secondary waste to clean up. #DryIceNorthernIreland #DryIceBlasting #IndustrialCleaning #SurfacePreparation #BMWX5 AutomotiveCleaning DryIcePellets ManufacturingNI EngineeringNI IndustrialMaintenance NonAbrasiveCleaning EcoFriendlyCleaning DryIceSupply NorthernIrelandBusiness FactoryCleaning MachineCleaning CarbonRemoval IndustrialServices AutomotiveIndustry BelfastBusiness by @iceblastni
