Thought I'd do something fun for costume week at the studio. Shout out to @loozecannon1 for the wave 🌊 The group had a blast with this one.

The "Social Warm Up"is a technique I developed after visiting USC's Hip Hop in Los Angeles, CA. The professor there allowed the dance students to free roam keeping their focus on the groove, the moves, and one another. This inspired me to develop my own version of this for my younger dancers. (Although this exercise would be fun for ANY AGE)

The Exercise
- Put on a song and allow your dancers to walk around the move maintaing motion. Then you can call out different movement for them. *Note* it helps if you first give them a bit of terminology.

Eye Contact
- If dancers lock eyes, they must dance together.

Call Outs
- Call a dancer's name and allow them to pick the move for the ENTIRE class

The Conversation
- Give the dancers a topic to discuss while interacting and they must also KEEP DANCING
