Su imponente diseño está inspirado en las columnas de basalto formadas por la lava volcánica, uno de los paisajes más representativos de Islandia. Por eso, Hallgrímskirkja no solo domina el skyline de Reikiavik, sino que también refleja la esencia del país. ❄️🌋

⏳ Un dato que la hace aún más especial:
Su construcción tomó 41 años. Comenzó en 1945 y fue inaugurada en 1986, convirtiéndose con el tiempo en uno de los símbolos arquitectónicos más importantes de Islandia.

Atlantic puffins spend most of their lives at sea, only coming to land during the breeding season. They return to the same burrow year after year, often reuniting with the same mate. Despite their colorful appearance, they’re powerful flyers, beating their wings up to 400 times per minute and reaching speeds of around 55 mph (88 km/h).
