Finally managed to finish a creative project that has been sitting around for months now because I've been having zero motivation again... Saw this resin bunny figurine in a trinket swap box and had to take it home because it has lop ears like my Rannoch who unfortunately passed over the rainbow bridge two years ago so I wanted to give it a paint job with his fur coloring!

I'm lately starting to love #watercolours again... Did this last night but didn't post it yet because it was a surprise for my friend @undependent___ because they unfortunately had an accident and I went to visit them in the clinic... And I know they love #Jackalopes as much as I do so win win situation!

Long time no feed post... I KNOW I have some art journal posts overdue but I've been too lazy to make them tbh (or more like too occupied with my creative hobbies) but I will make them some time later... So today I had a very fun watercolor painting session together with my friend @undependent___ and this is what I did... Both inspired by the @mouseguard comics and also by Heather Dale's music specifically the song I put in this post... Also when I thought about it this concept totally made sense because the Green Knight can't die and the folklore of cats having nine lives... So I present y'all Sir Mousewain and the Green Cat!

So I went out of my way and drew a ✨PERSON✨... To jump on the #starterpacknoai bandwagon.... It's comic/Manga style me in my favourite outfit and some objects and animals/creatures/characters who define myself!

So here's an out of my routine non sketchbook post...there's quite a story behind this....
Recently had a horrible mishap with my phone dropping on the floor and short circuiting (just two days before my birthday yayyyy *sarcastic* ) and a kind neighbor helped me out with getting me a new one... I usually don't have much contact to my neighbors except a few chosen ones because I'm an ✨introvert✨ so I didn't know him before and so it happened that we connected on a more personal level because it turned out we share a lot of interests, fandoms, tastes and traits...two things that stuck with me is that he loves Muppets especially Kermit and also Disney's ROBIN HOOD (as y'all know SAME HERE) so I thought if he put his time and effort into helping me out I'll surprise him with a hand drawn artwork...Acts of random kindness....first I was like "yeah let's draw Kermit with Robin" but then I remembered of course KERMIT PLAYS BANJO (that nice person even gave me a sticker that is him with a Banjo) so I had the glorious idea to draw Kermit and Alan a Dale singing Rainbow Connection together (would be the second time a talented bard by the last name Dale covered that song hehehe!) and hands down...who else thinks those two would be besties if they met? (Fun fact...in one episode of the Muppet Show Kermit actually hung out with Alan's voice actor so it isn't that far off!) I've actually never drawn Kermit before so that was new to me....Alan a Dale however I can pretty much draw to a T!
It's always a pleasure for me to surprise someone with their favourites after testing the waters to find out what they're into...(Also excuse the quality because until I have my hands on the new phone I have to do with my crappy pixely tablet cam)

Last week's summary of my #artjournaling project...let me walk through the pages so far:
1. Fire spitting dragon bunny (because why not?) 2. #SirHiss because I can't believe I haven't drawn a single page with a #DisneyRobinHood character (also tried my hand at Celtic hand lettering again as I did on some following pages... Trying to perfect it for a future tattoo project I plan having done on myself!) 3. Drawing of my dear Leo (rest in peace... I will always miss you...) inspired by some ceramic bunny figurines that had a pose as if they're up to some mischief... 4. Something inspired by some funny meme I had saved on my phone (and another excuse to do Robincore and #CelticHandlettering) 5. A cute seal inspired by the music video for the song Selkie by Blackbriar (awesome music btw if you're in into metal with female vocals! ) 6. Cheshire cat and McTwisp (because I can't stop to draw bunnies 😂) once again inspired by a song... This time it was Cheshire Kitten by SJ Tucker (love that one) 7. Sir Didymus from #Labyrinth because he's my FAVOURITE character from the movie (and I've been shamelessly neglecting foxes!) also might draw Ludo too at some point because I love his character design (and I 100% prefer drawing animals/creatures over humans!) 8.A wild colored pencil page appeared... For this one I had the idea because lately I've been loving the song Crimson Sky by Heather Dale (who actually part of what got me into drawing more again..) also added a fox because just the sky wasn't enough (and BECAUSE I CAN!) 9. Some fanart for #TheBlackFoxofBeckham which I'm currently reading (and I've planned out at least one more fanart page for it!) 10. Robincore time again.. This time I wanted to draw a badger in a Hobbit outfit... (also cute furry critters with swords and bows are absolutely a vibe I'm into haha!) by @icewolfarts

So I'm officially back into the drawing game again 🤩 recently discovered #artjournaling for myself and it's so fun because it's been setting off a LOAD of new ideas (and I forgot how SATISFYING drawing with ink markers is 😍I'm more of an intuitive sketcher so I purposely don't set a strict schedule because intuitive drawings turn out the best! so let me walk through the pages:
1. Black Fox with evil laugh
2. Cute little badger with stars and moon (can't believe I've never drawn one because I love them so I wanted to do it)
3. Disney Robin Hood inspired raccoon swinging a sword (actually inspired by a meme...)
4. Magpie (was inspired by the song Thirteen by Vixy and Tony hence number 13)
5. Cat riding a dinosaur (inspired by Heather Dale's song Imagineer)
6. Fizzgig from Dark Crystal (recently into watching Age of Resistance...)
7.+8. My bunnies
9. Fanart for the musical Queens of Avalon (discovered the soundtrack last week and it's SO GOOD 😍) had to draw Guinevere and Morgaine as vixens because I'm enjoying the whole anthro/Robincore thing by @icewolfarts

So after being in another art block because my mental health has been once again a nightmare the last weeks I finally found inspiration for a new drawing project 😊 had the idea while listening to my music... These days I've basically been self medicating with music to stop the depression and anxiety from taking me over... The particular song that kicked off the inspiration for this was Black Fox by Heather Dale... Have been a lot into female folk singers lately and this song being about a fox did finally win me over to pick up my tablet and pen again! Recommend turning on the audio so you can hear from which particular lyrics this was inspired... (also damn new Instagram layout unfortunately cut off parts!)

Didn't have much energy for painting over the holidays but none the less chose to participate in the Christmas prompt of @theartysphere weekly drawing challenge so I hope you enjoy Santa Hood!

Finally managed to do some #digitalartwork again....haven't been doing much decent art the past year because my depression has been real bad and pretty much drained my motivation...but here's something new...it was for last weeks weekly art prompt on the @theartysphere Discord server which was "horns"...I know these are technically antlers but luckily they were OK with that as I was meaning to draw a deer anyway! Didn't really use references but took a bit of inspiration from @junkyardmax who has been one of my favorite deer photographers for years! #digitalarr #digutaldrawing #animalart #animaldrawing #animalpainting #wildlifeart #deer #reddeer #deerart #deerlove #reddeerlove #handdrawnart #handdrawndigitalart #noai #noaiart #medibangpaint by @icewolfarts

Finally have been able to at least sketch something small again...for those who haven't been following my stories, I unfortunately lost my bunny Rannoch when I already haven't been over the loss of Leo...Wednesday evening I came home to him.shoeimg signs of heat stroke and immediately called the emergency vet but during the call he already passed away...at least I did what I could for him...now Merida is alone but already has company on store due to next week...
this is also a reminder that lop bunnies while being cute are not a healthy breed because due to their ears they are at risk for both painful ear infections and heat stroke because bunnies use their ears for thermoregulation...so please be aware of that if you plan to adopt a lop bunny...Merida's new partner will definitely have normal bunny ears!
concerning the artwork I'm not very happy withthr placement of the left eye because oil pastels aren't very forgiving when it comes to correcting anatomy mistakes (that's the advantage of digital art) #bunny #rabbit #bunnyart #rabbitart #rabbitlove #bunnylove #lopbunny #petart #petportrait #petmemorial #oilpastels by @icewolfarts

I know it's been about half a year or so since I've done some artwork that's decent enough to post but today I finally managed to whip out my brushes again...though the opportunity unfortunately isn't a happy one....those who followed my stories may know that about two weeks ago my beloved rabbit Leo unexpectedly and unnecessarily died so I've been in a lot of pain the recent time....I know nothing can bring him back but I decided to do a memorial painting for him to hang in my living room so I'm always reminded of him....the background represents the rainbow bridge....even if I wish I didn't have to paint a memorial so soon at least it gives me some comfort! Leo was very much loved even though he did test my nerves quite some time and often made me laugh a lot! in a few days a new bunny will move in as a friend for Rannoch and I know nothing will replace Leo but I'm sure he wouldn't want Rannoch to suffer from loneliness!
