Change can take many forms.

From protecting ecosystems and strengthening food systems to expanding access to education, health, human rights, and opportunities for migrant communities, ICF supports organizations working alongside communities to address the challenges that matter most to them.

Our areas of impact reflect a simple belief:

Lasting change is stronger when communities have the resources, relationships, and support to lead it. 🌎

Since 1990, ICF has awarded more than $178.2 million in grants to organizations working to create meaningful change in their communities.

But impact is more than a number.

It lives in organizations that understand their communities.

In people leading solutions.

In communities building their own futures.

Because philanthropy is not only about moving resources.

It’s about connecting generosity with local knowledge, collaboration, and community-led action. 🌎

Education can open doors but access to those opportunities isn’t always equal.

That’s why ICF supports locally led initiatives that help students access the tools, knowledge and opportunities they need to shape their own futures.

Because where you start shouldn’t define where you can go.

🌊 Conocer el océano es el primer paso para aprender a protegerlo. / Knowing the ocean is the first step toward protecting it.

🇲🇽

🇺🇸

During Generación SEA Session 3: Marine Biodiversity & Conservation, we explored how science, technology, and observation can help us better understand and protect marine ecosystems.

Students learned the fundamentals of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and how these tools can support the creation of Marine Protected Areas, guided by Alberto Rivera, PhD student and Lab Manager at the Aburto Lab at @scripps_ocean 🗺️🌊

We also visited Scripps’ Scientific Diving Facilities to learn how scientists study the ocean beneath the surface, and ended the day at @birchaquarium, exploring its exhibits and experiencing marine biodiversity up close. 🤿🐠

From maps to the ocean floor: a session that reminded us that to protect, we first have to understand. 🐋

What if we stopped thinking of housing as simply a place to live and started seeing it as a foundation for people and communities to thrive?

A safe, adequate and affordable home can open the door to better health, greater opportunity, stronger communities and a more resilient future.

This World Habitat Day, let’s look beyond the walls and think about what we’re really building: places where everyone can feel safe, belong and thrive. 🏠.

The challenges communities face are complex. Addressing them requires more than resources it requires collaboration.

At ICF, we believe meaningful partnerships bring together different perspectives, experiences, and strengths to create opportunities for greater impact.

When nonprofits, businesses, donors, and community leaders work together, we can move beyond individual efforts and build solutions rooted in connection and shared purpose. 🌎

Partnership is not simply about working together. It's about believing that we can achieve more together than we can alone.

Are you looking to create meaningful impact across communities?

Let's explore what's possible together in the link our bio.
