July 14th the motor inside this car forfeited at a young 105k. I really thought that was it with this beautiful car…That being said I love this car, I drove 2003 ls as my first car so this one is special to me in more ways than one. I had turned it over to a local motor shop. Majority of the wait was to get the new parts for the rebuild. New - CRANKSHAFT
NEW ROD, MAIN AND CAM BEARINGS
NEW OVER SIZED PISTON AND RINGS, OIL PUMP, TIMING AND GASKETS. MOTOR MOUNTS, ALL BELTS, SPARK PLUGS, THERMOSTAT, PCV VALVE. The technicians attention to detail was impeccable and also said he doesn’t get to work on cars like mine much anymore so he had fun bringing this thing back to life. I’m grateful for all support from my camp to make this rat race go as smooth as possible. ( Slide 5 ) is when the car cooled down after motor had failed. #car #chevy #chevrolet #impalass #chevyimpala by @ichevyss
