The Hardsteppers are proud to present Medium is the Message Vol 4, a celebration of vinyl culture in its purest form. Dub plates, record bags, sound systems, and the ritual of selectors shaping a room in real time are at the core. With deep roots in jungle and drum and bass, the event began as a space to honour the physical format and the communities built around record stores, late night digging, and hand to hand musical exchange.

Now in its fourth year, the festival has hosted respected artists and culture bearers including Krinjah, Kid Koala, and founder Sase One, while continuing to focus on vinyl first performances and dub plate traditions. For this edition, we’re splitting the event into two separate showcases, starting with a free event from 2pm to 8pm at La Récré 180g Café and Ma Mère en Feu. We’re presenting our best line up yet with a live performance by Beaver Sheppard and dj sets by Regimental, Exploit, Dez1 from Quebec City, Icky Magdala and the legendary Ghost Beard AKA DJ Wig, a dream booking for us.

Grab a drink at la Récré and check out our merch and the special vinyl art we’ll have featured for our silent auction. Dig through piles of records at 180g while enjoying the perfect oat milk latte. Grab a bite from Ma Mère en Feu and chill on the patio setup out front. Sound will be piped from the dj booth into all spaces so you can keep enjoying the tunes across the whole block. All proceeds from the auction and merch sales will be donated to GRIP, a harm reduction organization that has been doing incredible work for over a decade.

We look forward to sharing this very special event with you all and creating some amazing memories while supporting a cause we hold dear.

🎂🎉 Future Jungle 3rd Anniversary - Bassix New Top Inauguration 🎂📢

🔊🎂 Come celebrate 3 years of Future Jungle — alongside the inauguration of new Bassix tops 🔊🎂

It’s already been 3 years since I started this at Nouvel Établissement… back then, I didn’t even know if this project would really work and was only doing this to be able to DJ with some friends at least once a month. Just a vision, a simple passion and a sound i really love... Jungle.

Since then, it’s grown into something i could never fully predicted. From those early nights to now, every session shaped by the people, the energy, and the music that kept calling us back.

Throughout this whole adventure, i crossed paths with so many incredible people in different venues, different rooms, different moments. From small, intimate sessions to packed-out nights, every space brought new faces, new energy, and real connections. What started as a simple idea turned into a network of people who share the same love for the sound and that’s what made all of this truly real.

Shout out
@nouvel.etablissement
@redroommtl
@vive.la.recre
@batiment7anous
@camo_sessions_
@_hardsteppers_
@dnb_collider_
@ethikalmtl
@club.2061

This one marks a new step. We’re welcoming new tops and sound processor from the Bassix crew into the space a fresh layer to the sound, sharper, more defined, carrying every detail deeper into the room.

Same underground spirit, same family just evolving with every move.

For those who’ve been there since the start, you already know what this means.For the others come feel where it’s going.

Raw selections, heavy emotion, and that timeless jungle dnb connection all night long.

Get ready to dance under the amen breaks!

Ticket in Bio.

25$ door / same day (NOTAFLOF)
