🎭Join Open Stage! Icon’s FREE adults Theatre Group Open Stage is a welcoming weekly theatre group for adults aged 18+. Led by professional theatre artists, you’ll explore acting, improvisation, movement, writing and devising, and create and perform original theatre inspired by the group’s ideas and experiences. Do you love making theatre with young people and communities, and making all the practical stuff behind it happen too? You’ll help deliver our youth theatre, youth clubs, schools workshops, holiday programmes and community projects across Medway and Sheppey. It’s a hands-on role combining creative facilitation with project coordination, administration and supporting participants to feel welcome, confident and able to take part. We’re looking for someone creative, organised and reliable. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Stage Manager; to join our team for the remount of The Snow Queen: A Woodland Adventure. After a successful creation and run at The Albany, Deptford last year, Icon is excited to be remounting this production for younger years. The production will be at ARC, Stockon Arts Centre in December 2026, then we head to London in February 2027, venue to be announced. We are a small friendly and ambitious team. We would like to work with a professional Stage Manager who is well organised, proactive, a great communicator, a good listener and an individual that has a genuine passion for theatre. Free Summer Holiday Creative Activities, ages 7-16. ☀️ Mon 27 to Thu 30 July, 10.30am–3.30pm Mon 3 to Thu 6 Aug, 10.30am–3.30pm Ages 7–12: Theatre Club Explore acting, dance, music, craft and storytelling. Play games, get creative and make something to share with friends and family at the end of the week. Ages 12–16: Rap, Music & Filmmaking Clubs Week 1: Rap & Music Club Write, perform and create spoken word and rap with professional artist Emanuel Imuere. No experience needed, just bring your ideas. Week 2: Filmmaking Club Create, shoot and edit your own short film using a mobile phone, with professional artist Philly Scott. We’re looking for a Marketing & Impact Manager: someone with ideas, energy and judgement. Someone who can help make Icon more visible, engaging and present, locally, regionally and nationally. Someone who can write the copy, shape the campaign, make the content, gather the evidence, brief the photographer, update the website, grow the channels and tell the story properly. It’s strategic. It’s hands-on. 🌍 Plays For The Planet: Rainforest 🌿 We’re delighted to share, the first in our series of climate-change themed drama workshop programmes for primary schools, reached 2,045 young people across 12 Medway schools. Through drama, these free workshops supported key curriculum development areas including communication and teamwork, creative thinking and problem-solving.
