Why did @carlosdemedeiros choose Icon for @bar.amour ?
Carlos describes the reasons himself:
«Bar Amour is a restaurant that curates and crafts a menu that blends seamlessly the Norwegian and Portuguese culture, history and tradition. In terms of glassware, we’ve been using Zalto, Spiegelau and Riedel for a long time, but we wanted to find something a bit more local, a bit more historic, and so we came across Hadeland, that was bold enough to rethink the wine glass. The Icon series which we currently use, brings some sense of sharp architectural design into it, with fragility and tension combined, which is what reflects also our kitchen.»

World-class wine glasses, developed in Norway by @hadelandglassverk in collaboration with wine connoisseurs. Each glass is handmade and mouth blown.

In this exclusive series, you will find nine specially designed glasses that optimally preserve both the aroma and taste experience.

Complemented with two decanters, adapted for red and white wine, as well as a water glass.

The design is led by Chief Designer @maudbugge in close collaboration with @arentzm , and other wine experts.

Every single Icon glass is handmade and mouth blown. A total of 13 people are involved in the production of each glass.

We only choose the best quality glass mass for our Icon glasses. The result is a series of light, crystal clear, leaf-thin wine glasses that enhance aroma and taste.

The thinness of the glass has an important function. It means that the temperature of the wine is not affected as much as it would be by a thick glass. This is particularly important for cold wines, which can quickly become warmer if the room temperature is high.

Icon at Sabotage! 😍
We’re proud to be part of the fun dining experience at Sabotage, which opened its doors in Oslo in September, and has been praised since! 💫

Founded by three women with experience from renowned restaurants including Kontrast, Maaemo, Hyde and The Fat Duck, Sabotage brings a fresh spirit to fine dining - turned fun dining!

We were invited to a wonderful tasting journey through the menu, and every course was truly delicious. In addition, Sabotage has created a relaxed atmosphere, where guests feel welcome and comfortable.

Icon is part of this wonderful experience, with our Champagne, Universal White, Universal Red, Universal, digestif and Water glasses. Sabotage has also chosen lamps, vases and lanterns from @hadelandglassverk & @hadelandglassverklights adding warmth and character to the space 💛
