Building something special after bouncing back is a challenge, but to do it with your friends and grow together is a blessing. Oeuvre is more than a creative group, we are a collective of unmatched, talented ass visionaries that joined forces to create a legacy for locals in our community.

Because we are just that: Locals.

We saw a need for something to represent what the real Long Beach really looks like. We wanted to create a reason for our homies from all over the city, LA + the world to want to come experience Long Beach. And we did it. Sending a huge hug and shoutout to my #oeuvrecreativegroup family @niceguyxvinny @illsocietyjay and our entire village that has supported us since day one. What started off as a really dope concept we had to host during @complexcon weekend last year has turned into community recognition. And more importantly, this is proof as to why you should never give up. This road hasn't been easy by any means but we are motivated now more than even to keep going and keep producing.

It felt good to sit still today and reflect about these past five months. Here are a few moments from yesterday that I'll cherish forever. Sending love and gratitude to my homies @thecornerstorela @ray.vaughn for the love. The rest of the slides are just proof of what can be the result of intentional intellectual property, creativity, unity, legacy and when great leaders all come together.

Yesterday we pulled off something that has never been done in Downtown Long Beach with VIP Records LB. Thank you to every single person who attended, brought their children, families and friends. Thank you to everyone who registered, told folks about it, reposted a flyer, bought an item from a vendor, made a craft, shared a laugh. Thank you for keeping it peaceful, thank you for treating each other like family. Thank you to every person, organization and resource that made this event happen. Shoutout to all the haters and speculators too. I guess you're not really as great as you think you are unless you have folks who doubt you(Slide 18). To think what started off as an idea to give the black folks in Long Beach something else to look forward to via a Juneteenth block party following the end of a wonderful era with the @lbjuneteenth would turn into the beautiful day at the park yesterday with thousands of black folks having a grandiose time. Wow, I can only thank God. Shoutout to all the Tastemakers in LB that made yesterday as special as it was for continuing to create your own footprint and showing how tasty Long Beach is and always will be. You know who you are. Lastly, shoutout to one of my best homies @niceguyxvinny for his endless vision, devotion to his craft and dedication to being a preserver of the culture. To have a block party and then an after party with an art exhibit + Q&A to honor DJ Battlecat, hosted by Ab-soul, and featuring another live band after being the tech lead for the fest all day...Bro you are a Genius with an invisible cape I swear. You never cease to amaze me. Its only up from here Long Beach.

Yesterday was divine. You just had to be there.

Endless gratitude to @popconorg @jasonkingsays, the legendary Alan Leeds, @tinafarristours, @alishaheed, @lysacooper, and @jay_jonah_jacko for such an incredible roundtable discussion about D’Angelo from his character, to his legacy, and in depth about his unconditional, unwavering love for music. What an honor it was to be in the room, meeting and conversing with true legends in the entertainment industry.

One of the most powerful takeaways from the conversation came from @alishaheed, who spoke about the responsibility of those around artists to advocate for their wellbeing before their wealth.

Many of the greatest musicians have carried the weight of a level of fame they never truly sought, yet still chose to share their gifts with the world out of pure love for the music:

Prince. D’Angelo. Michael Jackson.

A necessary reminder that protecting the spirit and wellbeing of the artist must always come before protecting the business around them.

Thank you 2025...

This year I became a Mom, took my baby boy home to the motherland, blossomed as a woman, traveled and created even more memories with my village. I am excited to see what the new year will bring. Here are a few of my favorite moments. Nothing fancy, just gratitude.
