Hats on for Children's Palliative Care!

On Friday, 9 October, the Hamba Nawe Project joined the @icpcn #HatsOn4CPC campaign with colourful hats and boxes of cupcakes, shared with the ward nurses and hospital staff who care for our patients every day.

The message behind the fun: children's palliative care is everyone's business. It starts with being willing to learn, listen and ask questions.

Thank you to everyone who wore a hat, baked a cupcake or started a conversation. Special thanks to our cupcake bakers and our best-dressed hat wearers!

Hats on for pediatric palliative care!
This week, Canada’s Pediatric Palliative Care Alliance brought together healthcare professionals, partners, and families with lived experience in Montréal to connect, collaborate, and advance pediatric palliative care across Canada.
We also took the opportunity to put our hats on in support of the International Children’s Palliative Care Network’s (ICPCN) Close the Gap campaign, calling for integrated children’s palliative care for every child, everywhere.
Together, we can help close the gap and advance equitable access to high-quality pediatric palliative care for every child and family who needs it.

Every child with a serious illness deserves access to compassionate, family-centred care.

Hoy y siempre, la comunidad de #CasaKhuyana se pone el sombrero por los Cuidados Paliativos Pediátricos 🎩💛

La razón de ser de Casa Khuyana es que cada niño y su familia puedan recibir el cuidado, el alivio y el acompañamiento que necesitan, especialmente cuando la medicina ya no puede curar.

Porque cada sombrero, cada gesto y cada persona que se suma ayuda a hacer visible un derecho que todavía no está al alcance de todos.

Nos emociona muchísimo ver cómo tantas personas hacen suya esta causa y nos ayudan a cerrar la brecha en los Cuidados Paliativos Pediátricos.
