5 years ago, if you told me we’d speak in front of 2,000 people, I would’ve laughed.

Happy 5th anniversary to my best friend — my person forever. ❤️

Here are 5 things I’ve learned over the last 5 years of marriage:

1. Believe in the same foundation. For us, that’s our faith in Jesus. ✝️
2. Communication is everything. Talk through the hard moments with love and respect.
3. Chase purpose together. A strong marriage moves in the same direction.
4. Stay accountable. Having wise people around you matters more than you think.
5. Never stop dating each other. Keep choosing each other over and over again.

13.1 miles later…
First half marathon ✔️

Did it go how I planned?
Not even close.

Miles 1–3.5? Just praying to find a bathroom 😅
Miles 3.5–9? Cruising — felt like I had it in the bag.
After 9.5? My legs said nah. Cramped up bad.

Still finished strong — just not the way I wanted to. Either way I’m proud of growth.

So… will I run another one? 🤷🏻‍♂️
We’ll see.
