Drake live at OVO PRESENTS: VYBZ KARTEL Toronto, CA

I can’t lie it was a surreal feeling being apart of this moment in history for Toronto.

I wonder if 16 year old me would ever imagine that my job would take me here.

@alisonhinds live in Toronto for Soca Day at the @letsgototheex

I thought I share this raw clip from last night because it would be a disservice not to show yall the greatness that went down last night on the CNE stage

Big up @socaprince and the whole team for putting on another event that many will remember for years to come taken in Toronto, Ontario by @icypromotions

I’ve been told that I downplay what I do. That I somehow minimize my accomplishments but to be honest, it’s not on purpose. After Soca Day I left while the artists were taking pictures to head to another gig downtown. Today, I have Soca Or Die at Cabana. Although I do delegate and my team is very good, it’s a lot plus my own personal life stuff on top of it all. But after seeing some of these images from @icypromotions, I’m literally here choked up with emotion. This isn’t about me. This is about Soca music being featured on the closing night with thousands and thousands and thousands of people coming out with love and positive energy to enjoy it. All ethnicities, backgrounds and religions singing these classics word for word. 3 legends from Barbados who could individually do this show on their own, all put ego aside for the betterment of the show. Huge thanks to the BTMI for facilitating this and adding 3 surprises in @mikeymercer246 @nikitasings @cashedadottinofficial who are incredible talents in their own right and each showcased different aspects to Barbados 🇧🇧

To Camille, Andre, Emily, Julia, Jayden, Dre, Carol, plus the entire tech and lighting team from @letsgototheex THANK YOU for making sure everything ran smoothly. To @alisonhinds @edwinyearwood @therealrupee - I’m sure your mentions are going crazy so I’ll call each one of you later in the week but I have to acknowledge you publicly. Your music has been the soundtrack to a crucial time of my life. From Square One, Krosfyah, Coalishun to the amazing solo careers you each have had, this show has been a dream of mine. I wish my mom was here to witness it 🙏🏾 Love each of you. Thank you for making this happen.

“Bana ‘26”

Every year I’m counting the days till Caribana because Toronto is my home and arguably you can’t beat a summer in this city.

This year was different, this year I’ve been lucky enough to work with best of the best in the industry. I’m so grateful to even be in the same rooms much less being thought of highly enough that yall would want me to take your photos!!

I have nothing but gratitude to just be apart of Toronto carnival because starting off this is what I always dreamed of, and every year goals are being accomplished that always felt so far fetched and I’m just so appreciative to be here.

Well anyways this is my Caribana recap I couldn’t include everything I shot but I hope yall enjoy!! taken in Toronto, Ontario by @icypromotions
