„As a teenager I didn’t fit the norm and always felt like an outsider. The moment I started playing music I was able to create a safer space for myself. In general I am not into genres. When I play I don’t think about music with a specific style, just sounds that make sense together. It’s like a puzzle. My goal is to explore sounds from the black diasporas around the world, while focusing on my Angolan background, creating a dancefloor experience that’s relatable to anyone, and reminding them of their roots.“

Am letzten Wochenende fand mitten im Zentrum der Stadt die dritte Edition des @sonarlisboa statt.

Drei Tage und Nächte performten 54 Musiker:innen aus 16 Ländern, wobei der Fokus des Line-ups vor allem auch auf lokalen Artists wie @zengxrl lag.

Wir haben @zengxrl, Helena Hauff, @0800shygirl und @sevdaliza_ vor ihren Aufritten getroffen und fotografiert ✨

Während der Pandemie hat @wa22ermann wie viele nach einem neuen Hobby gesucht und mit Musik angefangen.

„@clubheartbroken is a sanctuary for the heartbroken and beyond. A place where you are free to feel. Not just pain and heartbreak, but unashamed, raw emotion. From ecstasy to insecurity. From sensuality to empathy. Feel everything.“

The 9-member collective has recently launched its own record label and told us: „Now we can present ourselves not only through DJ sets and club nights, but also through original productions by friends and residents, while pushing each other and giving quality more reach. This also means that our club will grow as we join forces with artists whose music has inspired us from the very beginning.“

In the age of social media the definition of celebrity has become blurry. In their new album „Fanfare,“ @dorianelectra explores the social dynamics of modern-day fame. Regarding the provocative and sexual album, Dorian told us: „I was definitely obsessed with fandom and understanding what makes people obsessed with celebrities, musicians, or political ideologies and sort of channeling that obsession into an almost rock opera-inspired pop album.”

Für ihre aktuelle Kollektion hat sich das Designerduo mit Mode als Zufluchtsort und Schutz vor Provokation und Hass auseinandergesetzt - über ihre Show schreiben sie:

Die Berliner Fashion Week wird immer mehr zur Sightseeing-Tour, denn die Schauen wurden an unterschiedlichsten Orten in der ganzen Stadt gezeigt.

Für ihre AW24 Show hat sich Rosa Marga Dahl von @sf1og von ihrer eigenen Schulzeit inspirieren lassen und ihre Kollektion in der Turnhalle der Ernst-Reuter-Schule gezeigt.
Thematisch passend wurde auch eine Kollaboration mit Eastpak Rucksäcken vorgestellt, einer der Schüler wurde außerdem als Model gecastet, während andere als Zuschauer:innen eingeladen waren 🏀🏀🏀

This week Berlin saw the debut of ‘Intervention,’ a presentation format developed and curated by the Berlin-based @referencestudios as part of the official calendar @berlinfashionwe. 🇩🇪

Their mission was to create a platform for German and international designers, with the ambitious project mainly hosted in a derelict former department store where @gerrit_jacob, @back2back.systems, and @ano.ny.mousclub presented their collections, with @marie.lueder closing out the event with a show in a former club at Potsdamer Platz.
