On Saturday I played for @lostnfound.berlin on their Funkwerke Vol. 2 live stream. It was so much fun, also hanging out there and listening to the other artists. Swipe for some impressions from my set as well as a short clip from my interview afterwards. 😜

By the way: we performed in-between all those bicycles because of expected rain. That roof was our big hero. The project made use of headphones to enable the audience to move around the area, so while filming around, we forgot that the sound we heard will not be on the videos 😂😅🤦‍♀️ just so you know. taken in Kunsthalle Lausitz by @ida__bux

RUM 1 spectral epsilon greedy ist eine immersive Audioperformance im öffentlichen Raum.
Besucher:innen erhalten Funkkopfhörer und können sich frei auf dem Gelände der Kunsthalle Lausitz bewegen - bis zu 700 Meter von dieser entfernt.
Uber die Kopfhörer entfaltet sich eine binaurale Klanglandschaft, die live von Sounddesigner: innen und Performer: innen wie @pandalassow , @ida__bux @rahel.ira @michaela.winterstein @romy_schwarzer, @odbayarbatsuuri, @stepana_nm, @28david10, @_sandrapohl_, @sintkollektiv @erzilu_ u.a. kreiert wird: arrangierte Stems, generative Synthesizer-Texturen und verfremdete Live-Aufnahmen vom Ort selbst. Mehrere bewegliche Funkmikrofone fangen die akustische Realität des Geländes ein: Stimmen, Wind, entfernte Züge, und speisen sie in Echtzeit in den Mix ein, wo sie digital bearbeitet und überlagert werden.
So entsteht ein Flirren zwischen dem, was tatsächlich horbar ist, und einer konstruierten Klangwelt, die den Ort erweitert und neu erfahrbar macht. Ergänzt wird der Sound durch gesprochene Textfragmente, dokumentarische Aufnahmen, Ortsbeschreibungen, surreale Abzweigungen, teilweise live eingesprochen.
Die Performance läuft über 4 Stunden mit sanften Übergängen alle 30 Minuten, sodass Besucher: innen jederzeit ein- und aussteigen können. Ziel ist nicht Ablenkung oder Trance, sondern ein tieferes, aufmerksameres Erleben des Ortes - die Zeit vergessen, Dinge bemerken, die man sonst übersieht.
Der Titel verweist auf das Frequenzspektrum (spectral), die minimale Verschiebung zwischen Realität und Konstruktion (e) und das Spannungsfeld zwischen Struktur und Exploration in der Performance (greedy).

This month on Proper Charts, we’re welcoming two guests from very different musical backgrounds.

Our first guest, Nora Lyn, has been making music for seemingly longer than she’s been able to speak. Even in her early childhood, she used everything around her to express her musical creativity. Today, she plays multiple instruments and performs as a solo artist with her loop station or with her jazz band, @lynandthefingers. While Nora is more rooted in the realm of instrumental music, our second guest, Ida Bux, represents the electronic music scene. Ida primarily performs as a modular artist, immersing her audience in musical worlds of breakbeats and driving techno. She’s also always happy to help musicians set up their very first modular systems.

böse & gemein Festival 2026 Programmvorstellung ✨

Aufgewachsen in verschiedenen Ecken der Lausitz, treffen sich Graef und Ida Bux musikalisch irgendwo zwischen Ambient und Breaks. Inspiriert vom Beton in Hoyerswerda und den Nachtigallen der Oberlausitz schaffen sie mit atmosphärischen Pads und verdrehten Drums den perfekten Raum zum Träumen, Verweilen sowie zum Ein- und Abschalten. Gemeinsam arbeiten sie unter dem Alias „Hyrax Hyrax“ – ein kleines Säugetier mit unverwechselbarem Sound.

Raised in different parts of Lusatia, Graef and Ida Bux meet musically somewhere between ambient and breaks. Inspired by the concrete of Hoyerswerda and the nightingales of Upper Lusatia, they create—with atmospheric pads and twisted drums—the perfect space for dreaming, lingering, and both switching on and off. Together, they work under the alias “Hyrax Hyrax” — a small mammal with a distinctive sound.

HUMAN INPUT

With grateful hearts we think back of this weird, warm, futuristic, sold out HUMAN INPUT event at Berghain Kantine.

A few moons ago, we had this vision of a night that resembles a media art TikTok feed: Short-form performances, exhibitions, and the original real life form of a „social network“.
So we assembled a dream team of artists: Look Mum No Computer @lookmumnocomputer , Nele @neles0n x @liovast @dadavonweis , Ida Bux @ida__bux @curled_ntt carl Ahner, me. But there’s no good event without a proper art auction (for Sea-Watch) and a few installations!
One sold-out Berghain Kantine later, and we Are still buzzing. Huge thanks to everyone who made this happen. 🖤
