Last few days to see our exhibition “15 WATT” at Culterim salon on Leibnizstraße 57! Join us at 8pm tonight for the book release of our exhibition catalogue “15 WATT” – on this occasion we are delighted to host a talk between artist Fred Unruh and writer Elsa Mack beginning at 8:30pm. The exhibition will continue to be open tomorrow by appointment and on Sunday from 3-6pm. If you haven’t seen it yet – this is your chance! Last week we opened Fred Unruh’s “15 Watt”. 15 Watt is the exact amount of electricity generated by the human brain. The show is on view until October 18th – Sundays from 3-6pm and by appointment. Our catalogue launches next week, Friday 16th of October with a conversation between artist Fred Unruh and writer Elsa Mack. For his first solo exhibition “Grandstander” Nino Gherzi presents a selection of sculptures alongside his series of scarves. At the entrance a bull’s head in eyelash jacquard is finished with stitched and painted ribbons. Next Thursday, October 1, Ida’s Room presents ‘15 WATT’, a new exhibition by Fred Unruh – and alongside the exhibition the first catalogue dedicated to his work that will launch on October 16. We are fundraising to make the production possible - link in bio!!💚💛🩷 @fred.unruh From 1 to 18 October 2026, ‘15 WATT’ is presented across three rooms in a brand new space generously offered to us by @culterim_ on Charlottenburg’s Leibnitzstraße. The works are grouped so they enter into dialogue with one another, presenting Unruh’s artistic development over the last few years and echoing the way Unruh continually re-arranges them in the studio. Furthermore, the artist has created various brand new, site specific pieces for the show. As an independent project space working with emerging artists, a publication of this ambition is only possible through the support of our community. Your contribution will directly support the production of the 15 WATT catalogue, including: – photography of the works – design and editing – printing and binding – the texts and their translation — the public programme accompanying the exhibition Donations over 50€ are considered as pre-orders and will receive a signed copy of the catalogue. Nino Gherzi - Grandstander Currently on view at Ida’s Room - viewings by appointment only - don’t miss this one! “Although we find these stretched on a wall, a scarf isn’t only looked at. It gets folded, knotted, draped, sweated into, worn against somebody else’s skin. The Minotaur is no longer something to run away from, a monster of masculine expectations and virile ideals. Instead, he becomes something to put on, to drape, and to adorn oneself with. These scarves originated within Nino’s larger installation “Biiig Bull” and therefore arrive at Ida’s Room as remnants of another environment, rather than isolated designs. Old, hay-stuffed and worn out boxing gloves, antique weights, exercise bands, bull heads in all their heady prowess, serve as accoutrements, “de-horned” by stitches and ribbons.
