idChess in Nepal, 5000 metres above sea level! 🏔

On May 8, the first ever international chess tournament ‘Ever-Chess-2024’ was held on Mount Everest in Nepal 🇳🇵
Matches were broadcast by idChess on the highest point of the world 🔥

The goal of the tournament was to demonstrate the ability of chess players to make difficult decisions in extreme conditions 🔥 Participants had to travel 50 kilometers to the base camp of the mountain. The competition is expected to enter the Guinness World Records🏆

Professional chess players from the Chess Federation of Russia and climbers participated in the tournament. 9 tours of the Swiss system with 10+3 time control were played ⏳

8 мая состоялся первый в истории международный шахматный турнир ‘Ever-Chess-2024’ на горе Эверест в Непале 🇳🇵
Партии на самой высокой точке мира транслировались idChess 🔥

Цель турнира – продемонстрировать возможности шахматистов принимать сложные решения в экстремальных условиях 🔥 Предварительно участникам пришлось преодолеть 50 километров до базового лагеря горы. Ожидается, что соревнование войдет в Книгу рекордов Гиннесса 🏆

В турнире участвовали профессиональные шахматисты из Федерации шахмат России, а также альпинисты. Всего было сыграно 9 туров по швейцарской системе с контролем времени 10+3 ⏳
