A little reintroduction… ✨

I’m Mesha — founder of id Designs & Co., and I’m officially RIDQC-Certified Residential Interior Designer! 👩🏾‍🎨

My path into interior design wasn’t traditional.

My foundation started in computer science, then shifted into marketing, and eventually I found myself searching for something more creative.

That search became personal.

After walking through a season of deep depression, I needed an outlet…something to create, something to rebuild. What started as working with leather goods and later woodworking shop in my garage in our first home became more than just a hobby.

It became a turning point.

With the guidance of mentors and industry professionals, I began to refine that creativity into something intentional and that’s where my passion for interior design truly took shape.

Today, earning my RIDQC interior design certification is a full-circle moment. It represents not just growth, but a commitment to understanding the technical, functional, and human side of design.

Because to me, design isn’t just about how a space looks, it’s about how it supports your life.

This is only the beginning. 😉

Grateful for the journey, and excited for what’s ahead.

Your home should do more than look beautiful — it should restore you the moment you walk in.

Here’s how we bring that to life.
↑ Swipe to see our process.

Every project starts with listening. No assumptions. No templates. Just a thoughtful conversation about how you truly live — and how your space can support you better.

Being an interior designer is officially my personality trait at this point. 😂

I started thinking about all the slightly unhinged things I do that seem perfectly normal to me… but probably questionable to everyone else.

So here are 5 of them! And trust me, my perimenopausal brain could’ve kept going. 😂

01. Bully my clients into luxury….Respectfully.
Sometimes people don’t know what they don’t know! I introduce them to materials, finishes, and design possibilities they never considered. It’s not always about spending more. It’s about exposing them to what they really want.

02. Go off over the wrong shade of white.
Cheviot and Snowbound are ABSOLUTELY NOT the same! Undertones matter. Warmth matters. And YES, I can see the difference! 😂

03. Dissect every hotel I walk into.
I’m supposed to be relaxing, but I’m analyzing the floor plan, lighting, furniture placement, ceiling details, and millwork. My husband thinks we’re on vacation. Nope Sir, I’m conducting an unpaid site visit.

04. Touch absolutely EVERYTHING.
Stone slabs, fabrics, cabinetry, wall finishes. If it has texture, my hands are going on it. It’s called material research!

05. Rearrange furniture in my head.
You invited me over for dinner & drinks… please know I already moved your sofa, replaced your rug, and figured out why your living room isn’t flowing. I’m sorry 😞

The creative mind is a blessing, a curse, and occasionally a very expensive obsession.

Designers, what’s your most unhinged habit? And homeowners… have you experienced any of these with your designer? 👀

There’s something special about walking a project before it ever feels like a home. 🥹

So excited to be part of The Harbour Pointe North Project alongside an incredible team of builders and developers.

This is honestly one of my favorite parts of a new build — watching it evolve from dirt, concrete, and framing into a home that will eventually hold routines, memories, gatherings, and everyday life.

Walking the space gives me the chance to really think through how each person will live here. How they’ll move through the rooms, where lighting matters most, how flooring connects the spaces, and which finishes will make the home feel both beautiful and intentional.

Great design isn’t just about selecting pretty things. It’s about creating a home that works beautifully for the people who will live in it.

We’re just getting started, and I’m so excited to watch this one come together.

An invitation to sit among 100 women helping shape the future of the kitchen & bath industry isn’t something I take lightly.

Tomorrow kicks off the NKBA | KBIS Women to Women Leadership Conference here in New Orleans. Three days surrounded by women… product industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and designers whose work and leadership have helped move our industry forward.

And can I be transparent for a second?

Walking into this experience, my first feeling was excitement. Then that little voice asking, “Do I really belong in this room?”

Thankfully, I have a business coach and an incredible circle of designers who reminded me of something I needed to hear:

A seat earned is a seat deserved.

That’s the beauty of community. The right people don’t just celebrate your growth, they remind you of who you are when you’re still catching up to where your hard work has taken you.

So this week, I’m walking into the room ready to listen, learn, connect, share and GROW.

And the best part? Everything I learn here comes back home with me into id Designs & Co., into the way we lead our projects, and ultimately into the homes and experiences we create for our clients throughout Tampa Bay.

Here’s to all of us business owners who have ever questioned whether we belong in the rooms we worked so hard to reach.

You Belong Here.💕

Thank you, #NKBAW2W, for such an incredible experience! 🤍

I had the opportunity to meet so many amazing women with a wealth of knowledge, experience, and perspective. We learned from one another, encouraged each other, and even found connection in the personal and professional journeys we’re all navigating.

There’s something special about being in a room where women can meet, share, learn, support, and grow together.

Leaving inspired, encouraged, and grateful for the connections made.

What an honor to present at @asid_hq GATHER in Dallas on behalf of the Business Management Committee. 🤍

One of my favorite parts was connecting with so many talented interior designers and industry professionals who are building, growing, and starting their businesses.

Our committee has poured so much real world knowledge into the Business Basics Checklist by sharing lessons many of us had to learn the hard way so others don’t have to.

And honestly, I walked away learning too. That’s the beauty of community. We get to share, grow, and support one another along the way.

So grateful for the opportunity to contribute, learn, and represent this committee. ✨

Choosing materials and textiles is about so much more than making a home aesthetically pleasing.

I consider how my clients actually live in their homes. Their routines, their hobbies, their families, and the way each space needs to perform day after day.

Will this fabric hold up to everyday use? Is the material appropriate for how the room functions? How will it wear over time? Will it still feel beautiful years from now?

For me, good design isn’t simply about choosing what looks beautiful. It’s about selecting materials with intention while balancing beauty, performance, comfort, and longevity to create a home that truly supports the people living in it.

Photography day always feels a little like watching a child go off to school for the first time.

You spend so much time nurturing the details, making decisions, fixing the little things, and hoping everything comes together the way you imagined.

Then suddenly, the day comes where you have to step back.

I’m not a parent, but I am an auntie, and I remember watching my niece head off to kindergarten — excited, proud, and just a little nervous because you know she’s entering a new chapter without you right beside her.

That’s what photography day feels like for me.

It’s the moment I stop being so hands-on and really hand the space over to my clients. The project becomes their home, their routines, their memories.

And seeing how much care they put into maintaining and living in the space? That’s the part that makes me proud every single time. 🤍
