probably the easiest thing for me to do has always been to help somebody else land an idea and use my skillset/experience to make sure it’s clean and a bunch of other things i nerd over. when i started @f1owersfor a couple years ago, i wasn’t in the best space to do so, but the idea was getting louder and louder. i put a tee out (that people still ask for non stop), wrote personal letters to anyone who copped on the packaging, and thought i had it figured out. luckily people appreciated what i created, but the story i was trying to tell didn’t land how i envisioned it. and to this day, i’m still mad at myself for not taking the time i should’ve to create around that release. i released some other products, doubled and tripled down on that first idea, released a tee that had the paint fade off after one wash, rushed an release that did well, and always felt like “i guess” afterwards. after keeping a promise and thinking for a long time, Flowers For was always a thank you and i miss you to my grandmother. a person who made my grandfather’s suits, my mother’s clothes, and was the person in her neighborhood who used her sewing machine to make sure her neighbors, friends, and family felt good when they got dressed. my grandfather was fly and stayed just that until he gained his wings to meet her. while creating for her love ones, everyone says she was so humble and warm. i didn’t think me and her watching jordan against the jazz, or seeing nas or biggie on tv while she sewed was written for me in due time. to anyone who purchased this recent release, thank you. calling this restructure “humble beginnings” gave me my why, what, and how. Flowers For is about building a new future and giving gratitude to the past. this new tee means a lot to me. i’ve worn it 1000 times already. a fresh start with intention, conviction, and the thought of how Lucille kept everyone up through her gifts. give the page a follow, tap into our apple music profile for monthly mixes, cop up, spread the word…whatever. it’s all appreciated greatly. a couple miles away from cut & sewn and suits. i’ll be there though… by @ideakizer

us. out of all the designing & creating i do, myself for you has been the best by far (this what you be talking about? lol) the random convos for hours, laughing, frank ocean (along with rap beef breakdowns, after dinner “let god sort em out” listening parties with just us two, and doing the grinding beat on our living room table like it’s the lunch room) sessions, our new favorite hobby, watching sports-ball; and a very long list of everything else…it’s all been peace. august and the sunset means a lot now, but next fall will probably drop a good 50 piece on that. good triple double and all that boo. thank you for being you. there’s no one better… taken in Virginia by @ideakizer
