Today we announce the signing of former professional soccer players Javier Zanetti and Rivaldo Ferreira (“Rivaldo”) as the company’s first ever global ambassadors 🙌

💬 “We are thrilled to welcome two soccer legends – Rivaldo and Zanetti – to the IdeaSport family,” said Eduardo Frisicaro, IdeaSport CEO. “In addition to their impressive careers and soccer acumen, they bring with them a unique family oriented spirit that falls directly in line with our global mission to foster well-rounded citizens of tomorrow through youth sports”

Often considered one of the best players of his generation, Rivaldo, a Brazilian native, is also regarded as one of the greatest of all time. An inductee to the Brazilian Football Museum Hall of Fame, Rivaldo won the Ballon d'Or and was named FIFA World Player of the Year in 1999, and was named by Pelé in the FIFA 100 list of the world's greatest living players in 2004.

💬 “It is an honor to join IdeaSport present by Walt Disney World as an ambassador,” said Rivaldo. “Their values align with my own and if I can offer my time to help further their mission, it’s a role I happily and proudly take on.”

Zanetti, an Argentine native, is tenth on the list of players in history with the most career appearances. Inter Milan retired his number 4 jersey and named him as its vice president upon his retirement from the sport. Zanetti is also known for his philanthropic efforts; in 2005, he received the Ambrogino d'Oro award from the city of Milan for his social initiatives and he also serves as a Global Ambassador for the Special Olympics.

💬 "I'm excited to be a part of the IdeaSport family at Walt Disney World and to represent them worldwide" said Zanetti.

💬 "Supporting youth development is something I take great passion in and doing so with a company that champions sports was a no brainer”

IdeaSport’s pillars are sport, health and education, which come to life through various programs, which Rivaldo and Zanetti will be supporting as ambassadors, including a soccer academy and summer programs at ESPN Wide World of Sports and professional friendlies and pre-seasons hosted across the globe 🌎💫

Putting MLS Next goalkeepers through high-tempo, game-realistic deflection and reaction sets at IdeaSport Soccer Academy.

When a shot takes an unpredictable deflection or rebounds inside the box, traditional mechanics aren't enough. Goalkeepers must train their eyes to track the change of trajectory instantly, explode off a low and powerful set position, and secure clean handling under severe pressure. No static cones and no repetitive warm-up shots—just real, chaotic game scenarios that demand immediate recovery and authoritative distribution.

Every touch counts, and every second-phase save is won with footwork and grit.
