Art Basel Miami 2025…the theme was patience, slow progress and self-care. I feel so grateful to have attended 2 Art Basels this year…and even though it didn’t go how I imagined, I remain grateful as always.

There’s something about art from fellow Africans and African diaspora that’s just so powerful and inspiring…so many of these artists are self taught and built careers in art despite all the odds. My heart is with them all ♥️ @akaa_fair

Another birthday, another year of wisdom…”Scars are a truly beautiful thing. Yes, they can be a little ugly on the outside, but scars show that you’re a survivor, that you made it through something, and not only did you make it through, but now you’re stronger and wiser and more educated because of that tough time that you went through.

This year, I manifest peace, ease and to be surrounded by amazing people that know I’m worthy, that I am more than enough and deserve to be fought for. We are always worth so much more than what we settle for.

“I know I’m not perfect. That’s why I don’t look for perfect. I look for real.”

“Share your weaknesses. Share your hard moments. Share your real side. It’ll either scare away every fake person in your life or it will inspire them to finally let go of that mirage called “perfection,” which will open the doors to the most important relationships you’ll ever be a part of.”
