IDENTITÉ A new visual language by Djohan Johari. A shift in form, a continuation in intent. by @identit_e
IDENTITÉ, reconfigured. A new visual language by Djohan Johari. A continuation, not a return. We begin again at Rasa Space — holding space for new work and open listening. Fridays, from April. by @identit_e
IDENTITÉ returns. Founded by Razi Razak in 2010, Identité ran for 4.5 years as a weekly gathering point for the city’s restless sounds, happening almost every Friday at Home Club. By its close in 2014, the press had recognised it as one of the longest-running independent gig series of its kind. Now, it re-emerges with the same curatorial instinct — open, fluid, and attentive to what’s next. No fixed edges. Just the room, the music, and what begins there. by @identit_e
In partnership with Fred Perry, supporting selected headlining acts as the series continues to grow. Fauxe works across electronic music, cultural sound and archival exploration, bringing Southeast Asian heritage into conversation with contemporary ideology. When I invited him to Identité, we had already shared many conversations about his explorations across the region — and how these sounds could be archived, understood and shared as knowledge, rather than reduced to entertainment. One moment from the showcase stayed with me: percussion from the Malay Archipelago, Chinese processions and Indian tabla, layered against distorted visuals by :> and the movements of three dancers from The Bonsai Collective, moving between silat and poppin’. From those conversations, I knew of his plans to create multiple sound walls — a genre-fluid kaleidoscope where traditional heritage collides with the hyper-modern architecture of Fauxe’s sound. You have to listen closely to the ground it’s built on. I’ve always respected Fauxe’s commitment to his own path. With or without his mask, he remains an artist who chooses to stay underrated. A decision that stands apart from the reach of his modern avant-garde catalogue. I feel he has created a space of his own, one where he reigns. — Razi Razak Images - @bryner by @identit_e
November holds our reflections. Not just looking back, but looking at what stands beside us, what pushes against us, and what comes into our view. This month, three bands come together with their own sounds and positions. They counter and reflect one another, each bringing a bit of the edge for us. For Identité, this is part of what we’ve always believed in — bringing different parts of Singapore’s music scene together, and cultivate its purpose. 06.11.2026 hewasareadershewasacook The Storms Upon Us ANECHOIS 7.30PM $30 Entry In partnership with Fred Perry and Pantheon Percussions as the series continues to grow. In partnership with Fred Perry, supporting selected headlining acts as the series continues to grow. Naedr delivers raw intensity and atmospheric passages. Jagged riffs with shifting rhythms, and vocals fronted by piercing screams. The warm yellow lighting glared across the band, catching them from different angles as they moved. Intense and mesmerising. While I was away from the scene, close friends kept telling me that naedr was a band to watch. Watching them live for the first time brought me back to my own generation, when bands like Kindred and My Precious were coming up through my friends’ circles. I noticed Dyn nearby — guitarist for both bands, now watching naedr after his new project se:pi had played. It felt like a full-circle moment. I’m glad soraへ, se:pi and naedr came together on one lineup. Three bands at different points in their journey, sharing a night with Identité and recognising something in one another. Perhaps this is how music moves between generations. Not through reincarnation, but through influence. It passes on, changes shape, and becomes its own. — Razi Razak Images - @bryner by @identit_e

October comes in crashing. We’ll start with a debutant, followed by one learning across two disciplines, and the other, we’re fortunate enough to have headline Identité and close the night. Different sounds, with a connection between them — finding their own way through music. 16.10.2026 Young S.E Cravism Fauxe 7.30PM $30 Entry In partnership with Fred Perry and Pantheon Percussions as the series continues to grow. by @identit_e

In partnership with Fred Perry, supporting selected headlining acts as the series continues to grow. There are many sub scenes in Singapore that exist just outside our usual line of sight. Infinity Rain was one of my discoveries for that night — a band rooted in the Japanese rock, pop and anime subculture here. Fast tempos, melodic synths, intricate guitar work and that particular energy familiar to J-Rock and anime opening tracks. Alongside Jinshin Zone and Musubi, the night brought together three bands who are still finding their footing — all new to organising gigs and performing while building relationships within the community. Some are music graduates, some are still studying. I find that exciting. The potential is massive. There is something worth paying attention to when people are still figuring things out, building their sound and finding their own community. We should be curious enough to look beyond the scenes we already know. It was a pleasure to discover Infinity Rain, and to have the opportunity to host all three bands at Identité. My personal nod to JOTO Band Jidai. — Razi Razak Images - @ameer.yusof19 by @identit_e
