IDEOLOGY LEAK

An attempt to bring together and shed a light on Adelaide's long running, diverse, and endless amount of bands that have been a part of the undergound D.I.Y. community. From old, unheard, or short lived, to mainstays. If they played for the people, not profit, it will be found and available here. If physical copies aren't available a Bandcamp page is in the works to shed light on our plethora of quality acts in one spot.

- BANDS wanting to be involved - HMU in the DMs.
Will do whatever one can do these days to support the community. Send flyers of upcoming shows, release updates or just send some hate mail.
*Releases that will be available on here are not all A-Town based, most are from a personal collection to raise money for future inventory, helping local groups with releases, shows etc.

TONIGHT!! Midwest godfathers NEGATIVE APPROACH will be gracing us with their raw, unfiltered, unapologetic HC. If ya know the history of Detroit, especially from the 80s onwards - the town was left to rot. All the big name yank tank companies moving manufacturing out of the city, leaving it in ruins. Those who live/lived there, forgotten and left to deal with the consequences. These guys are a direct reaction to the conditions they witnessed and lived. The same reaction influenced so many bands that were to come later...If ya slept on Murphy's Law a few months back, do yourself a favour, don't shit the bed on this one! by @ideology_leak

@allxin618 - 10 year anniversary show tonight!

Don't snooze!

Great line up with some of A-Towns best HC bands.

Massive thanks to @frothandfuryfest for having @guantanamobaycityrollers be part of next year's mind blowing line up! Somehow these local legends manage to keep one upping themselves every freakin year....this one being by far the most stacked of all, in my completely unobjective opinion. THIS IS GONNA GO OUT HARDER THAN THE DAY PETER BROCK STOPPED BEING AUSTRALIA'S "BEST" DRIVER.

🔥🤘☠️🤘🔥 by @ideology_leak

Thank you Dolly. And thank you @suburban_voice for this. ❤️‍🔥 by @ideology_leak

Couldn't be more stoked to have this release be the first up for grabs, of what I hope will be one of many iconic bands from Adelaide's underground Punk D.I.Y. community from years gone by.

1 COPY

UNIT 11:74 / FMD - SPLIT 7" - $20

Released in 1996 by legendary Adelaide label SPIRAL OBJECTIVE. Spiral #9

UNIT 11:74 - a staple from the era, ahead of their time sonically speaking, fusing Punk/HC/Grindcore in a uniquely Australian way. Arguably one of the best examples of not only a great band. But one that shows the extent of Adelaide's "family tree" and interconnectedness between bands from our city, and later interstate acts. The FT members of list with these guys is practically unbeatable in terms of quality Adelaide and interstate bands related to them. In no particular order.... @price_of_silencehc , Fallout, Forza Liandri, @black_jesus_death_metal , Identity Theft, Shallow Grave, Coué Method, Stand Against, Iron Worzel, Los Diablos, Yokel, @ratcatcherband , Steadfast, Mid Youth Crisis, Buellah's Fix, Garbage Guts, Captain Cleanoff, Demon Pig, Undinism, Cuntduster and definitely a few more.
If someone asked me for recommendations on Australian Punk/HC/Grindcore bands that are essential listening, this list sure as shit is as close as what I'd suggest looking back at it.

FMD A.K.A. FUCKING MASS DESTRUCTION -
Underground D.I.Y. HC from Memphis Tennessee. Short lived band out of the Mid South, active roughly between 1995-1998. These guys played hard, fast, unpolished HC that does not disappoint. The fact this band existed, coming from their part of the world in the early to mid 90s is enough to blow my mind. Let alone a connection being made at some point to our equally obscure location, and having a split put out by a local independent label, makes this release a true time capsule that one rarely finds in today's digitally swamped world. Members later forming @btl_hardcore and long running Punk band @memphispezz

Disc in near mint condition. Art work just as good considering the age. by @ideology_leak

SPIRAL OBJECTIVE SUNDAY

@price_of_silencehc

One of Adelaide's earliest examples of Hardcore Punk, starting in the early 90s. Their influence on bands that came after them is substantial to say the least, and for good reason. Members also playing in other staples of the era, and later acts, such as Unit 11:74, Exploding White Mice, Force Fed Nine, Steadfast, and one of Melbourne's finest One Inch Punch/Mid Youth Crisis. Not only did they have solid tunes, the lyrics - that included small write ups to expand on the meanings behind them, were far ahead of their time. Dealing with issues such as personal choices about how one lives their life, gay/lgbtqi rights, the power that mass media's ideology has over our lives, anti organised religion - its hypocrisy/flaws, flat out and well justified threats to deadbeat men who abuse women. Lyrically just as raw as the music behind it. Real. No bullshit. D.I.Y. Hardcore Punk with conviction. Bass/Vocalist - Greg running the label SPIRAL OBJECTIVE. Releasing a majority of Adelaide's Punk/Grind/Crust/Hardcore bands in the decade between 1990-2000. Plus a few interstate and international acts - Swallowing Shit, Dropdead, and Dismachine, huge underground D.I.Y. bands in their own right. These Adelaide legends will be playing with @wheres_the_pope for their "FINAL" show at @lionartsfactory on December 12th.

DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS ONE. YOU'LL REGRET IT FOR THE REST OF YOUR YEARS ON THIS MESSED UP ROCK HURTLING THROUGH SPACE. by @ideology_leak

GUANTANAMO BAY CITY ROLLERS T's
DARK SIDE OF THE GOON EPs - 2008 release

@guantanamobaycityrollers are back from the dead/rehab...kinda. Bunch of T's & EPs up for grabs - Leftovers from their recent reunion show in Adelaide with @beanflipper_band

Shirts - $30 - free postage in Aus.

EP'S - $10 - free postage in Aus.

T-shirt & EP bundle - $40 - free postage in Aus. by @ideology_leak

It ain't often ya get to wake up hearing new material from a band who's vocalist was a homie growing up, now absolutely killing it in Denmark with his band @decadehc recently signing to @chokerecords - going strong since 2014. If you like legit HC - HC/PUNK without the bullshit. CHECK THIS LABEL OUT.

Bit of a backstory for those who care, as this one is pretty personal to myself.

A respected hometown legend (as opposed to the overall majority of older deadshit assholes who'd gatecrash our party's and start fights cos we were punks) growing up in Blackwood. James, earned even more respect from our circle, and others, after him and his mates dropped a release that was a staple of anyone growing up in the area that liked good music. Train Of Thought - Moving Heads 2004, ft Hilltop Hoods, Funkoars and Afterhours...these guys could get ya head nodding, with tracks like Rabbits Foot, along with a lyrical social conscience as shown in Counter War Terrorism. To say I'm stoked for him, and his new project is an understatement. This dude was an inspiration when I was a grommet, and still is ❤️‍🔥 by @ideology_leak

ROTTEN SOUND (SEEDS OF HATE) / MASTIC SCUM (crap) - SPLIT 7" - $20

2002 release by German (Ex) label CUDGEL - CUD 016

Two heavy hitters from the world of Grindcore. Both starting in the early 90s. Finlands @rottensoundgrind have been at it for years, unlike most, these guys just keep upping the game with every new release. Recently playing a killer show in Adelaide (to an unfortunately piss poor crowd) on their Australian tour. Thankfully, their shows in other states made up for it.

@mastic_scum (Austria) with just as many years up their sleeve, give their own unique take on Grind/HC/Death Metal/Crossover through their music, in a way that not many bands could pull off. BOTH are staples in their homelands, and for good reason. If you like your grind HEAVY, this split won't disappoint.

Disc & cover in mint condition.

Free delivery in Adelaide metro area.
