I eat too much to be considered a "starving artist". One thing about me is that I'm going to eat! 👸🏾👆🏾

As quiet as its kept, my father's an excellent cook. A few of the B roll vids are meals he cooks on Sundays 😂 taken in Charlotte, North Carolina by @idlemedium.art

Show's over cheapskate! God forbid you take a hiatus from art posts because your life went left 😂

I'm still figuring out my page and how this will affect my paintings in the future.

Showing you the palette, the process, and the painting!

This is a look of how my abstract paintings come together, from color mixing, painting shapes, and the final composition.

Abstract painting is a conversation between intention and whatever happens along the way.

Can you guess my sign from my artwork?

Here’s a fun post of the zodiac signs as some of the sketches from my old sketchbooks. I was digging around and thought this would be a fun concept! Astrology is one of my other hobbies, and I know better than to judge people based on their Sun sign 😂.

Be sure to follow for Part 2!

My inner voice whenever I finish a painting.

The people (me who needs to replace my art supplies) yearn for this feeling again!

Swipe to see my freehand acrylic painting process featuring gesso, acrylic paint and Posca markers!

This painting was finished a few years ago. I think this was the third version of this color palette after I sent the second painting to a friend and after I ruined the first painting with varnish 😂.

I always start birch wood canvas to prime, freehand with @posca_usa markers, and paint the shapes with @amsterdamacrylics. This one was difficult because I hated the middle shape, and I was stumped for a few days finding another color that would complement the rest of the palette.

Hope you enjoyed seeing the process of how I create! Are our processes similar? Follow for more posts about my work! -B❤️

Here are the art supplies and materials I use to create my abstract paintings!

Golden Arcylic Gesso
Wood Canva Panels
@posca_usa Pen Markers
@amsterdamacrylics paint
@strathmoreart Palette Paper
And random brushes I might buy at Artist and Craftsmen

I realized while drafting this post that I don’t buy new painting supplies often. I’m a creature of habit and I’ve been using the same tools for over 7 years now.

Be sure to save this post for your next art supply haul!

Sorry I’ve been away for a while. I’m starting to rebuild again after a rough couple of years, but I hope you’ll enjoy a glimpse of my marketing portfolio. I designed a business card to complement it, but now I’m thinking to just go ahead and make a digital format 😂.

Portfolio is linked in bio! I’ve been sitting on this concept for a couple of years and I finally had time to execute it after graduation. The design is inspired by the commercial/infomercial aesthetic of the 90’s and early 2000’s. The business card design is modeled after a TV screen.

My digital skills have gotten stronger over the past few years, but I’m still missing the paints! 😂

Come get y’all juice before I go back to school!

Coming back to be independently creative in between school, internships in the beauty industry, and work. Here’s a #DTYIS from @svv.art I sketched last year, colored and completed in Procreate (finally). I wish the eyes were more detailed but what can you do 😭

Likes and share always appreciated, if Instagram shows it to you 🥴-B

Y'all mad at me? 🥺👉🏽👈🏽

Haven't posted in over a year but my life's been too busy back to back to sit down and paint. I'm very excited to have a month to not do anything except for work, and depending on my schedule not even that. So. Finally to get around to finishing this painting I started over 2 years ago. Might get an Etsy or @threadless going idk

Hope everyone is well. Trying to create and jam cOnTenT before I go back to school at the end of August.

Actually, thanks to Big Makeup Store (my nickname for my employer) and my tax return, I'm fine but who knows for how long.

A special Sunday reel.

Finally went to the art store last week to buy brown paint. When you haven't painted in months so you only need...two things from the art supply store. I bought more canvas too but forgot to record. Ready to bang out this neutral painting that's been sitting since last June so I can finally have peace again 😭.

Plans for this summer include opening an offical store, resting, and travelling.
