This band has been through hell and back behind the scenes and from the bottom of our hearts we are thankful for every single person who has put a song on from us this year. You guys are the driving force of this band and without you we truly would have no purpose being here today. As always, we are Idle Mind and we love you by @idlemindnv

3 up and 3 down. Fastest weekend of our lives. Enormous shout out to @reminitions and @decadesin for having us tag along this weekend!

But with all good things that have come, trouble seems to follow sometimes. Our van “Winona” had a mishap monday on our way home. Her transmission blew a half hour into our drive back. We had to get towed 6 hours just to make it back to Reno. We have never been a band to ask for help, in fact, quite the opposite. Idle Mind prides ourselves on the connections we make with fans through our music and through friendship; a mutual love of heavier music that resonates with a piece of all of us. I say on stage at the end of every show “we are idle mind and we love you” because we do. We love each and every single person who chooses to pay money to come see us play the songs we pour our hearts into. But with all the music we make and shows that we play, money has to be at the forefront of the band to be able to keep us afloat. Everyone who has played for this band has understood that they pay their way, and we have always tried to keep it even between all active members. Ryan and I have payed for 90% of everything throughout the years, whether it be the instruments, merch, gear like our rack unit, van, and everything in between. Asking for help is hard for us because we know it’s our responsibility to take care of ourselves, so we can continue this journey to make and play music that can hopefully in some way take care of you. So in the name of swallowing our pride, we have to ask for help. We are throwing up our first gofundme ever, and with any luck at all, our last. We’ll have a goal amount of $5,000 to fix the transmission, pay for the tow we had to pay out of pocket for (which was literally an embarrassingly ridiculous amount to tow us 250 miles ngl) and in no way shape or form do we expect any single one of you to give us anything. You all work hard every day for your money and you deserve it. We are a band of the people, for the people and understand how hard it is to simply survive right now. But, if by any chance you have a few bucks you’re not using, we would be in debt to you so we can fix her up and get back on the road. ❤️ taken in Reno, Nevada by @idlemindnv

We’re Idle Mind and we miss being on the road. Now that we’ve been adjusted back to being home since our run with @nohomewa @ghostchantny & @sorrynosympathy we figured it was time to make our little “back home from tour” post. Thank you to everyone who made this possible, from booking agents and venue owners, to all of you who came out to support us by buying merch or throwing down. We’re super grateful.
With that being said, we have new music & show announcements coming soon, so keep an eye out! We love you. by @idlemindnv

This was my first show I’ve booked in 12 years under this name. Thank you to everyone who came out on a hot Tuesday last week. Thank you @sethearljacks and @ianandersonbryan for killing it on sound. I appreciate all of you. We definitely showed @nohomewa , @ghostchantny and @idlemindnv how the 209 does it. Wildwood is the home base for the 20916.
