Here are a few Key Takeaways from Last Night’s Good Ground Session!!

If you’re not producing in your life, it’s time to reflect—your soil matters in every area of your life: spiritually, financially, physically, and more. Be intentional about examining all areas, not just one. Don’t be general; be specific.

1️⃣ The Season You’re In
Sometimes it’s not the season to produce—trust God’s timing. Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 reminds us: “To everything there is a season... a time to plant and a time to pluck up what is planted.” Be patient and trust the process.

2️⃣ The Type of Ground You Are
Are you:

The wayside? Seeds on the wayside never even sprout because the birds snatch them away.
Stony places? Seeds on stony places may sprout quickly but won’t last because the ground isn’t deep enough to sustain growth. Even the best farmer knows rocky ground needs to be cultivated and tilled before it’s ready—and in the words of Glorilla, sometimes you gotta Let it Cook!
Among thorns? Seeds among thorns are choked by competing distractions.
Good ground? Seeds on good ground grow strong and produce an abundant harvest.
Be honest about where you are and what you need to grow. Matthew 13:3-8

3️⃣ What’s Rooted in Your Soil?
Have “weeds” like distractions, toxic relationships, jobs, or even your own habits drained you? Maybe others have planted themselves in your soil and are thriving while you feel depleted. It’s time to clear your soil and reclaim your nutrients.

4️⃣ Your Environment
Environment matters! Just like an orange tree won’t thrive in Alaska, you can’t grow in the wrong place. Are you planted in the right job, relationship, or physical region? Some things can only thrive in the right environment.

Over a year ago, I recorded this video with @dominiquedanielle_dd and tucked it away, unsure if or when it would ever be used. (I really hold on to a LOT of stuff y’all, but I’m better 😊) But recently this whole becoming Good Ground series kept pressing me and it just felt like the right time. This is the season to start 2025 by reflecting, uprooting, and preparing to become good ground—the kind of ground where His purpose and blessings can take root and flourish.
