I started building this app called Budget Buddy.
I realized I wasn't learning anything from the finance apps I was using. They automated everything, but I still didn't see clear patterns in my behavior. So I made one that focuses on awareness and insight.
Clean charts, spending breakdowns, monthly comparisons and trends that actually make sense and highlight patterns you might not notice otherwise.
No bank connections, no tracking. And now it's available on both Android and iOS. Link is in the bio.

Apple Silicon vs Intel/AMD
ARM vs x86 architecture with unified memory vs traditional RAM + VRAM. System-on-a-chip vs modular CPUs and GPUs. Mac mini & MacBook efficiency vs custom PC raw power. Battery life, gaming FPS, developer workflows, upgradeability, CUDA, thermals. What actually matters?

What Thermal Paste Actually Does Ever wondered why your CPU needs thermal paste? It fills microscopic air gaps between the CPU and cooler so heat can transfer properly. Without it, heat gets trapped, temps rise, and your PC can get louder and slower over time. Simple physics but huge impact on performance.

What Anti-Aliasing Actually Does
What do Anti-Aliasing settings in games actually do? MSAA, TAA, DLSS and FSR all try to solve the same graphics problem: how the GPU rasterizes triangles onto a fixed grid of pixels without creating jagged edges. If the GPU checks only the pixel center, you get stair-step edges (aliasing). If it estimates how much of the pixel is covered, the image looks smooth. This is the core idea behind modern real-time rendering and why old MSAA was replaced by TAA and AI upscalers in today’s game engines.

Why Computing Fibonacci Is So Slow Why does a tiny recursive Fibonacci function become insanely slow? The naive version keeps recomputing the same values again and again. Memoization stores results once and turns exponential time into linear time. Same recursion. Completely different performance.

People keep asking what I build when I’m not making these videos. I built a personal finance app because I wanted charts, patterns and full control over my data. Android only for now, link in bio. If you’re on iOS and would want this too, comment "iOS".

Estimating Pi With Random Shots
How can a computer estimate Pi just by shooting random points?
It places a circle inside a square and fires random points across the area.
The ratio of points inside the circle compared to all points tells you the ratio of their areas.
This approach is called the Monte Carlo method.
Random noise averages out, and the estimate slowly converges toward Pi.

How Computers Generate Sudoku
How does a computer generate a Sudoku that’s guaranteed to be solvable? It solves the puzzle while building it. Backtracking places numbers one by one and immediately undoes bad choices. Minimum Remaining Values makes it even faster by choosing the cell with the fewest valid options. One smart decision can eliminate huge parts of the search space.

How Maps Find Fast Routes
How does maps or any navigation app know which route through a city is actually the fastest?
It explores the map using pathfinding algorithms.
Dijkstra’s algorithm guarantees the shortest route by measuring cost everywhere.
A* adds direction using a heuristic, so it finds the same route while exploring far less.
Same destination. Very different amount of searching.

How Games Solve Mazes
How does a game know if a maze or level is even beatable? It explores the space using search algorithms. Depth-First Search dives deep using recursion and minimal memory. Breadth-First Search spreads out step by step and guarantees the shortest path. And these two still aren't the fastest.

Why Your Game Starts Lagging
If your game starts lagging the moment you add lots of objects, it’s probably not the graphics. Naive collision detection checks every object against every other one and the work explodes fast. That’s why performance collapses. Quadtrees fix this by dividing space, so objects only check collisions with nearby objects instead of everything on screen. This is how games stay fast.

How Games Fake Infinite Worlds
Video games don’t actually store infinite worlds. Instead, they generate terrain on the fly using math. Your position in the world is fed into smooth noise functions, combined with a fixed seed, to decide what terrain belongs there. That’s why you can walk forward, turn around, and see the exact same mountains, rivers, and valleys again even though the game never saved the entire world. This technique is called procedural generation, and it’s how games make worlds feel endless without infinite storage.
