Heather is an incredible artist, photographer, and friend, right now she needs help to keep her car and stability. She's a recent survivor of 🍇 and multiple sexual assaults, and the impact has been devastating. She's lost jobs and had to leave others due to racism, lack of compassion, and lack of accommodation while coping with this trauma.She’s an incredible artist and community member who’s been through so much, and her car is essential for her to earn income and get to appointments. This fundraiser has already been able to show her shes not alone and she doesnt have to go through challenges alone <3

MSU Denver’s Day of Giving has officially ended, and together the Biology Department raised $5,095 to support the Tropical Field Biology research program in Costa Rica ✨️

Balancing school, work, and life has been a big challenge, and I’ve been working hard in all corners.

🌸Costa Rica Research Program Fundraising Update🌸

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported or shared so far! I’m currently at $220 / $500 toward my first program payment for the Tropical Field Biology research program in Costa Rica through MSU Denver.

A huge thank you as well to Navagating The Compromise whose nonprofit supports educational travel and creation of art. Through their grant program they helped cover my passport fees, which I’m incredibly grateful for!

Hands-on research opportunities like this are an important step toward graduate school and my future career in science.

✨ I’m excited to share that I was accepted into a Tropical Field Biology research program in Costa Rica (Jan 2027) through my Biology program at MSU Denver 🌿

As a Biology major and Psychology minor pursuing neuropsychology, research experience like this is an important step toward graduate school and my future career in science.
