🇬🇧 The 551 Project is still going strong. With over 200 days behind me, I’ve been reflecting on everything I’ve experienced and thinking about the best way to share the work I’m creating. Lately, I’ve been fully immersed in composing, using music to capture the emotions, lessons, and new experiences that come with military life. 🇬🇧 During my military service, the 551 Days Project is becoming more than just a music project—it became a journey of reflecting on my roots and identity. Through that process, I was naturally drawn to Arirang, one of Korea’s most beloved traditional folk songs. For generations, Arirang has carried emotions of separation and longing, as well as hope and perseverance. Across different regions and eras, people have woven their own stories and experiences into its melody, allowing the song to live on and evolve through time. I hope this piece can offer a small sense of comfort and encouragement to those walking unfamiliar paths, standing at the beginning of a new chapter, or quietly pursuing their dreams. The timeless voice of Arirang continues to resonate with us across generations.
