The BEST bedroom view I've ever had!

Number one destination on my bucketlist for as long as I can remember.

No place compares.

Pristine. Raw. Untouched. Magical. Breathtaking.

Feels like another planet.

No words or visuals can do this place justice. You need to experience it for yourself. They say nothing worth having comes easy. Beware, the journey may be a long painful one, but once you reach the destination, it feels like it was all a blur once you've crossed and see those picture perfect views.

The views, experience and the place makes the treacherous journey through what I like to call the "Death" passage, worth it.

This was one of my favourite moments. Icebergs never fail to amaze me. Each is formed to perfection and each is unique. The details on them are also incredible.

Is Antarctica on your list yet?

I quickly fell in love with Oman on my first visit a few years ago, but I left my heart there this time after coming across this hidden gem.

High up in the mountains, surrounded by giant date trees and the gentle sound of ancient running water, I found a version of peace I didn't know existed. @albahri94 took me on a tour of his village.

This village feels completely untouched by the rush of the modern world. The connection to nature here is tangible, and the kindness of the locals is unmatched. Although this place is quite a far drive from Muscat, it quickly turned into one of my favourite places.

Following a breathtaking hike around the farms surrounded by the mountains, I was welcomed with true Omani hospitality at the family home and treated to a feast; ffresh dates to locally grown fruits, Arabic coffee and a traditional Omani meal (fried meat with Omani bread and pancakes).

The connection to nature and the local community is special. This is the kind of "tour" you wouldn't typically have as a tourist, but as a traveler at heart, this is the kind of experience that brings my heart joy.

Excited to see such a unique and amazing opportunity pop up on @getyourguide! Book your tour with Salim on your next trip to Oman. I promise you will not regret it! This is one of my favourite tours to date.

Find it under "Al Ulyah Village, Discover the authentic heart of Oman."

Life happens outside of the algorithm.

Trading screen time for "real" time and notifications for real-life conversations. It’s amazing how much more peaceful the world is when you aren't looking at it through a lens.

My favourite place to be: outside.

I just found a secret world hidden right beneath the streets of downtown Toronto.

Stop scrolling if you want to travel coast-to-coast across Canada all under one roof.

Toronto’s coolest hidden attraction just changed its name, but the tiny details are crazier than ever. I was literally mindblown by this place and the attention to detail in each piece. I can easily spend hours here and I'm already looking forward to go back. It's so much fun looking at every tiny detail.

Toronto’s award-winning miniature world, Little Canada, has officially rebranded as Pocket Planet Canada. Under its new global vision, this 45,000-square-foot wonderland is taking immersive storytelling to a whole new level.

Think thousands of tiny hand-crafted citizens, moving trains, and city skylines that realistically shift from day to night every 15 minutes. They’ve just added interactive touchscreens that let you control things like the roof and lighting of the mini Rogers Centre and word is, a massive miniature airport is landing here by 2027.

You can step inside a 3D scanner room to be "Littlized". The team prints a tiny 3D model of you, and you can choose to place your miniature self permanently inside one of the displays.

Whether you are looking for a unique date night, a rainy day escape, or a fun way to learn more about the country, this place is pure magic.

👇 Tag someone you want to explore this tiny world with!

📍 Pocket Planet Canada (B1 Level of The Tenor, near Sankofa Square / TMU Station)

 Open until 9:00 PM Thursday–Saturday.

Did you know that Kenya is one of the world's largest exporters of black tea?

Spilling the tea on Nairobi's best day trip.

Just an hour outside of Nairobi lies Kiambethu Tea Farm, the birthplace of Kenya's commercial tea industry.

I booked the experience on @getyourguide to learn about the craftsmanship that goes into a single cup of tea. Walking through the lush plantation and seeing the picking process firsthand makes every future sip more meaningful.

Kiambethu Tea Farm is a family-run business, serving up incredible history, a farm-to-table buffet lunch with homemade ice cream and a nature walk through the Indigenous forests and trails, to learn about the medicinal plants.

One of the biggest takeaways from this day was that sometimes failure is just a redirection. Kiambethu's original crops failed and after a friend had gifted them tea seedlings from India, they noticed that it worked well in the environment and the rest is history.

You can book the same experience or similar ones using Get Your Guide. See the link in my bio to download the app and use my promo code IEATTRAVELWRITE5 to save on your first booking.

If you asked me to summarize a decade of traveling around the world, I wouldn't tell you about the landmarks I've been to. The moments that left the deepest marks on my soul over the last ten years felt entirely insignificant when they were actually happening.

I used to think traveling was about collecting passport stamps and crossing places off my list. But, the further I go, the more I realize that the travel stories that stay with you forever are the ones you can’t capture on a camera.

The best chapters start with a missed train, a shared laugh with a stranger, or a wrong turn that leads you to the best views in the city. Sometimes it's a random dish you've ordered off a menu that was in a different language you didn't understand.

There are places I have been to over 20 times, yet every trip is a new experience and a different story. I used to measure trips by distances covered, but after being on the road for so long, I've realized I cling to the loose threads.

There is an entire gallery of faces scattered across this planet who stepped into my story for a single hour and then faded back into the crowd. We will never meet again. Yet, the way they looked at me, or the quiet reassurance they offered when I was lost, still echoes in my mind long after the flights are over. That is the quiet currency of wandering. You don’t need to possess a place, and you don’t need to keep a person, to let them rewrite who you are. The most permanent marks are always left by the most temporary things.

Collecting small moments, one destination at a time. That’s the real souvenir.

Tell me about your favorite travel story.

3 things you MUST know before you visit Antarctica:

1. It's unlike any other trips! It's more of an ADVENTURE.
They say nothing worth having comes easy so you can expect that a trip to Antarctica comes at a cost. I got so sick while crossing the Drake Passage that I call it the Death Passage. Waves were high, the ship was moving so much and it got to the point where the only thing I could do was lie down in bed. But once you've reached, you forget everything you've been through as the view captures your attention. It's one of the most pristine and picturesque places I've been to. Best of all? It's untouched.

2. There are rules to follow to keep the environment protected. It's a UNIQUE place.
When it comes to picking the "right company" to book with, make sure you do your research well. If it's a large cruise ship, chances are, you won't be allowed to have any landings. But what's the point of going there if you don't step foot on the continent? Any gear that you want to wear or bring with you must first go through a biosecurity check (where they are cleaned/sanitized).

3. Antarctica is the largest wildlife area on Earth! It is SURREAL. Imagine picture perfect postcard views with every blink. A place where you can expect the unexpected. Here you will find thousands of penguins (different types ranging from emperor to macaroni to gentoo to chinstrap and more!), whales and seals. There are over 9,000 species of animals found here - in the driest and coldest continent on Earth. You can also feel at peace. It essentially feels like another planet.

Can you tell why it's been #1 on my bucketlist for over 10 years? Have you added it to yours yet?

If an audio could describe my thoughts while in Antarctica, it would be this.

A true bucketlist worthy destination, not for the faint of heart. An adventure of a lifetime.

The journey to one of the most scenic, untouched places on Earth is far from easy. The sudden weather changes, unexpected yet expected moods of the Drake Passage and the inconvenience of getting dressed to face the cold, you name it. But the moment you take in the view, it makes it all worth it.

For anyone planning a trip to Antarctica, I have a series on my blog telling you all about my experience and everything you need to know. The one takeaway would be to make sure you don't miss out on making the trip there at least once. IF you happen to, try to choose the one that'll allow you to step on land. Stepping foot on the continent changes the game and the experience completely. Getting up close to penguins, seeing glaciers break off in front of your eyes and breathing in the freshest air in a peaceful environment. Those are the things you can expect in Antarctica.

The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it.

Forever in awe with the beauty of this planet. I can't even imagine how Paradise must look like. After visiting over 50 countries, I find that I'm always left mesmerized. Spending time outdoors is most important for me and my main priority is to focus on nature destinations first. From sitting by the water and listening to the waves, to hiking in Antarctica and hearing the sounds of the glacier crashing, to staying in a yurt with the nomads, to admiring the sunrise and sunsets, each experience is always a reminder of God's power.

Some tips to appreciate the world around you and to take care of it:

Never leave a trace behind. Leave places as you find it (or better than how you find it). Be kind to the animals. Take time to reconnect and truly appreciate what's around you so you care about it. As simple and small as any action may seem, it all makes a difference and contribute to a greener, better world.

Drop a tip below of some actions that we can take to make a difference.

Most people never see this place. The ones who do never forget it.

I'm often asked what's my favourite place that I've been to. The answer is always easy and the same. But Antarctica isn't a destination. It's an experience that changes you.

Antarctica is one of the most remote and untouched corners of the Earth, but once you get there, it feels like the world just stops. It leaves you quiet.

No two days in Antarctica ever look the same. You can't really make a plan, you just have to go with the flow. The weather changes unexpectedly and quickly.

One morning, you wake up expecting to land on a glacier, but by afternoon, the wind shifts, the sea roughens and suddenly you're watching whales from the deck instead. The surrender becomes part of the beauty.

You don’t need words when you’re surrounded by creation that speaks for itself. Glaciers older than generations, mountains that look like they were carved by hand, light that stretches for 24 hours and sunsets that paint the snow in colors you didn't even know existed. It feels like witnessing proof. You feel it. The scale, the stillness, the rawness. It humbles you. It reminds you how small we are and how vast His power is.

It’s a once-in-a-lifetime trip for most, but it stays with you. Some places change the way you see the world. Antarctica was one of them.

I have a full blog series about Antarctica on my blog. Check it out if it's on your list - www.ieattravelwrite.com.

Tag the person you'd take to the end of the world with you.

Share this with someone who needs to hear this today!

One of my favourite things about solo travel is the freedom and peace that comes with it. I feel like it's an escape from reality, where I get to be cut off from this world. I can choose whether on not I want to go "online."

With expectations that are set and have become the norm in today's society, it's easy to get caught into the pressure. My advice? It will get loud, but you need to realize that you're fully in control of the volume. Turn it down if needed. Find your peace. Adjust until it sounds just right.

Mentally, I'm here. I especially love staying outdoors when I travel, as it's the place that allows me to feel most at peace. With Antarctica being one of the most remote places in the world, the peace is unmatched. But it didn't take long to realize that you really don't need to travel far distances to be at peace, it all starts with you and what you choose for yourself. Despite having access to a satellite connection, I barely used my phone for the entire trip.

Stop giving in to the pressures and expectations of society.

Whoever needs to hear this, this one is for you. Just take a look back to how life changed suddenly in the past year. If there is anything positive that we can get out of it, it is that we are resilient than we thought.

We may fear to do something because of thoughts that flood our mind, such as "what will people say?", "what will people think?", etc. But the moment we take the risk feels liberating. Situations where we force yourself to stay or go into, because that's what everyone wants for us (ie: a partner, a certain career path, etc), the outcome will not change over time. It'll stay the same. We're the ones who will have to deal with the challenges. Whereas if we get ourselves out of it right away, years later, nobody will be talking about it anymore. We would've heard the last of it for a while and that's it.

There are aspects of our lives that we are not fully in control of, but we need to learn to take charge of the ones that we are.

We need to learn to say no more often. There will be times where others will want things for you that you are not ready for or that you don't want for yourself. Stand for yourself, accept what you deserve and what you want.

Be persistent and spend time with yourself to better understand what you truly want. How many times have we said yes to things, simply because we felt lost or because we wanted to please someone else and show them that they're right about what they choose for you?

We will never move forward or get where we want to be, if we keep on giving in to society's pressures and expectations of the version of ourselves that we should be.

How can another person know us better than ourselves?

Find your passion, find your outlet, find your happiness. Don't give anyone else your canvas.
