@kait.crafts and I ripped a lap up the Beckey route on Liberty Bell the other day. It was Kait’s first experience climbing alpine rock, and also her first summit in the cascades! There was another party somewhere, but I never saw them, which is kind of an oddity for this thing. The smoke wasn’t too bad at the pass, but it definitely got worse throughout the day. What a lovely day of scooting around the hills, and wheezing up that stupid gulley😂

Been a minute for instagram interacting. Took a rad trip with my partner @kait.crafts to city of rocks, and then to Mazama and associated areas. Felt rad to get out and about! Was a huge trip for both of us! Kait got a solid taste of “80’s” bolted on lead “sport routes”, and I had the absolute pleasure of watching them push through a brief “Index” education. So pumped on our spring road trip! It felt rad to climb some #jefflowe classics!
Happy to see explosions in the sky on the 4th but I’m not sure we have a lot to celebrate currently… taken in City of Rocks National Reserve by @iehoward

@kait.crafts cruising some rarely trafficked stone in the Methow. Should be noted that Kait hadn’t led very few pitches, particularly pushing their comfort. I’m super proud of Kait for this, and a handful of other leads this year. They really brought a bright light! I feel super proud to see Kait’s boldness pop through. I’d say sorting out 5.9+ “sport” that’s bolts with some “leg breaking consequences” I’m super sad I don’t have pics of their spiciest lead. We were a little too busy taking the piss out of the stress🤣 by @iehoward
