I’ve been quiet here for a while 👀… and recently, I felt a sudden urge to start something new.

So, I started a newsletter on Substack 🤍 just to give myself a reason to write, to make art, to get lost in artist biographies and their worlds, to indulge in cultural theory on topics like relational ontology and deep ecology, and to share that inspiration with others, instead of offloading it all onto my boyfriend (woopsie) 😁. In my latest post, I explore my attempt to reimagine my relationship with everyday stuff. It might sound like a mundane topic, but honestly, this approach helped me see the world as magical again, just like I did when I was little.

I often find that cultural theory can feel disconnected from everyday life, so I’ve been looking for ways to make ideas like new materialism part of an embodied, daily practice. Because that’s where change begins — with the smallest paradigm shifts. by @ieva.blaz
