Overheat, Cracked Glass, No PB. Still had fun, running advanced group with SDC and BigxTime Beginner day. With 2 first timers in tow, and watching the final session for the first time group, was the highlight of the day.

Ordered the wot catalog to help with heat. and some mcs coilovers will be here this summer to turn this into track car 2.

The Finale: Track Day! 🏁

Man, what a blast.

It was so rewarding to finally see how the Miata performed after all the work that went into this build. From the suspension and brakes to the safety equipment and tires, it was awesome seeing everything come together on track.

But more importantly, this experience wasn’t really about the car. It was about the people.

To all the new faces, friends, and everyone who helped along the way—thank you. And to everyone who watched this short build series from the beginning, I truly appreciate the support.

Having some of my best friends come out, meeting new friends, and experience my first track day with me made the whole thing even more special. Those are the moments you’ll remember long after the lap times.

My best lap of the day was a 1:48. There was a lot of traffic, and it was tough to get a completely clean lap, but that’s part of the learning process. Plenty of room to improve and a lot more speed left in both the driver and the car.

I can’t wait for the next event.

I hope everyone enjoyed following along with this build series as much as I enjoyed making it. Hopefully this is just the beginning, and there will be many more builds and track adventures to come.

See you at the next one. 🏎️💨

Need to get off the sim and touch grass. More IRL seat time and start exercising again.

Last SDC Day of 2025. Back on stock springs and the car feels great, soaks up the buttonwillow dips and bumps much better. Had a good driver development day with @agi_racing Moving from a GR86 / FL5 to a Z06 has been challenging. My times may have gotten faster but with the Z06 my driving feels like it's gotten worse and beyond my tolerance for safety. Everything happens so fast in the 155 range that I end up rushing through the proper controls. Working though some changes and going for that sub155 in 2026.
