Open Letter to the Leadership of the Conservative Party
Following the Igbo Festival of Arts & Culture London 2026, we are deeply concerned by the public statements made by Councillor Alessandro Georgiou in a TikTok video about our event.
He claimed that:
• Around 10,000 people attended an event licensed for 2,000.
• The organisers left the park in an unacceptable condition.
• Our deposit would be withheld and we would be charged for additional cleaning.
We strongly dispute these claims.
Our volunteers and contractors remained at the park until around 3am cleaning the site and returned again on Sunday to carry out further checks. We have video evidence of these efforts.
We also question the basis for the claimed attendance figure of 10,000 and ask that any such assertion be supported by evidence.
Public allegations of this nature should be based on verified facts, not assumptions. Announcing conclusions before any transparent review undermines confidence in due process and unfairly damages the reputation of our organisation and the wider Igbo community.
We remain proud of delivering a peaceful celebration of Igbo culture and will continue to engage constructively while defending the truth. by @ifac_uk

IGBO ART AND CULTURAL FESTIVAL 2026

What an incredible celebration of culture, heritage, and unity!

The Igbo Art and Cultural Festival 2026 was filled with wonder, vibrant traditions, powerful performances, and an unforgettable sense of community.

It was a beautiful reminder of the richness of Igbo heritage and the resilient spirit of the Nigerian people.

From our music and fashion to our art, language, and traditions, every moment celebrated who we are and inspired future generations to preserve and proudly share our culture with the world.

Omenala bu ndụ. Culture is our identity, and together, we keep it alive.

Ndi Igbo Amaka! 👑✨
There is nothing quite like the beauty, strength, and rhythm of our culture. From the breathtaking masquerade (mmanwu) displays to the beat of the Ogene, IFAC 2026 did not disappoint. Proudly carrying our heritage wherever we go.

Tag someone who needs to come with you next year! 👇
I went to relax with no plans to film and no camera, but Plegend will always create a story even with just a phone.
