The lyrics of the song say it all.

I’ve been thinking about photo dumps lately.

When they first became a thing, I loved them because they felt nice... you could share little pieces of your life at the end of a month, year. I just love that you could share things not in real time 😌.

(as someone who genuinely likes to milk moments privately before I shared, they felt like the perfect balance)

But somewhere along the line, they started feeling more curated than candid. More like another thing to get right than a simple way to share life.

I’ve been a little quiet this past week, and I had a lot of time to think. One thing I couldn’t ignore is this: God has truly beautified my life.

I have handled things that I once prayed for, I have experienced being loudly loved by my family and friends 💝.

And I think it’s important to share His goodness.

I’m still learning how to hold that balance between celebrating what God is doing, staying true to myself, and not feeling the pressure to perform or overwhelm anyone. Maybe there isn’t a perfect formula, and maybe that’s okay.

So, here are a few moments from the first half of my year. Little reminders that God has been kind, present, and faithful.

What an experience I had at the Aquarian Consult Afri-Caribbean Conference. Let me share a bit of my experience with you.

There’s no doubt that being in certain rooms makes all the difference and there are a lot of things that you can never comprehend if you are not in that room.

Attending this 6-days conference in March from the very first day to the last, was such an awesome experience. It got me researching about topics I would readily never read about, trying to understand several subjects. There was so much being discussed around different very critical areas and I ensured to pay rapt attention.
Meeting and interacting with people from different walks of life; journalists, creatives, policymakers, and just people passionate about shaping society in their different ways. Hearing different perspectives in one space was so refreshing and even more excitingly for me was meeting people from the Caribbean, learning about their culture, and most interestingly their perspectives of Nigeria 😅

One thing I appreciate about partnerships and the kind of work I do is that it doesn’t limit me to one industry alone. It opens me up to opportunities to step into different spaces, to learn new things and see the world from different lenses. That part is something I definitely appreciate.
All thanks to @africa_presents for this opportunity. It was my pleasure representing you at this conference.
