I make things.
Some you can taste.
Some you can’t look away from.

I think I realized my birthday images could be however I wanted them to be - unstaged, unrehearsed, witty and as “me” as it could get, and so I chose to do those exactly.
Happy birthday to me 🤭
And of course because the two have become one, happy birthday to the assistant celebrant also 😄

This video was birthed from weeks of overthinking, self doubt, fear, and what have you.
Haven’t made a cooking video in almost a year and I considered myself “rusty”, but I knew I had to find a way to force my mind out of the tricks and deceit.

We’re locking in this year, no? 😎
So let’s begin!

Growing up, my parents always said my career days were dramatic, I wanted to be a Pastor and a Doctor at the same time.

The power of image, I grew up watching my parents consecrating themselves daily.

Several years down the road, living life La vida loca, I remember randomly feeling a burden to pray one day in my apartment in 400 level.

“Lord give me a voice of influence to proclaim your gospel, BUT!!! I don’t want to do ministry”.

But he who sits in Heaven laughs, no?

Since joining @wearethenew_global , God has been moving me in this direction and I ran twice!
I’m grateful to all my Pastors who never stopped seeing what they saw.

I’m grateful for this opportunity to join the rest of my brothers and sisters to SERVE.

It is the honor of a lifetime to be called and I don’t take it for granted.

Somebody pinch me! One year of getting to know ourselves, one year of asking “what do you want to eat”
One year of being teased with the “Oyinlola mi” video.

One whole year of loving you and being loved by you!

Lest I forget, and for you who has a driver (a competent one)…
Take a second to always say thank you every now and again when you get to your desired location. Appreciating them would go a lot farther than you may think.
Same goes for ride-hailing.

And if your driver isn’t 😅😂
Keep praying, cause your safety is in their hands oh 🤣
