When you are given a microphone on a global stage, you speak for more than yourself.

I had the honour of serving as a panelist at the Future Action Summit Thailand 2026 in Bangkok; a global SDG leadership summit bringing together young leaders, policymakers, and changemakers from across the world, representing Nigeria on that platform.

Sitting on that stage and sharing my experiences on youth leadership, community development, and what it means to build from the ground up in Africa in front of delegates from across Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the African continent reminded me of something I believe deeply: our stories belong in these conversations. And we have to keep showing up to tell them.

Thank you to Echo Change and CPG for creating a platform where that is possible. taken in Bangkok, Thailand by @ifeomos_

I had the privilege of representing Nigeria at the recently concluded SPE Biennial International Summit and Exhibition conference held in Accra, Ghana. During the conference, I had the opportunity of lending my voice on a major issue focused on the impacts of cyber attacks alongside the integration of emerging technologies and tools in the oil and gas sector.

Out of over 20 nations represented, I led my team to secure the 2nd Place award and the 2nd Best team in Africa, matching the record of any Nigerian team since the inception of the competition. This achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of my team members as well, Kosisochukwu Judith and Tope Folorunso. Their amazing effort and sacrifice were crucial to our success.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the SPE Lagos leadership, especially the Section Chair Mr. Oluwabiyi Awotiku and the Young Professionals Chair Mr. Emeka Esenwa, for their constant support in making our trip possible.

During the summit, I had the pleasure of meeting some remarkable individuals, including ,Dipo Ashafa (SPE Lagos Programs Chair), Dr. Victor Ekpenyong (CEO at Kenyon International), Mrs. Oghogho Effiom (SPE Africa Regional Officer), Simon Seaton (CEO and Executive Vice President SPE International), Jean Anokoua (Talent Acquisition Manger for SLB West Africa), Mr. Etta Agbor (CEO at SEAQUEST), Madam Elizabeth Rogo (President/CEO TSAVO Oilfield Services), Mr. Daniel Abia (Senior Process Safety Engineer at Total), Dr. Riverson Oppong (CEO of Association Of Oil companies), Mrs. Priscilla Enwere (SPE Lagos Section Director) and many other great people.

Also to the massive team constantly cheering and supporting @kanyito_ , @chiarmi ,Okeoghene Omoluwabi (MNSE, MSPE), Chisom Okoye, Egbuna Chimezie, Oluwajuwon Ifalade. I appreciate you all.

I had an amazing time at the conference and look forward to participating in more impactful programs in the future.

Just wrapped a full-day data analytics training for the Association of Corporate Treasurers of Nigeria (ACTN).

In-person and virtual.
Six hours of hands-on work.

Most participants had never written a SQL query.
Few had built dashboards beyond basic Excel.

By the end of the day:

They were querying data,
building financial dashboards,
and more importantly — thinking in terms of decisions, not just data.

One participant said:
“I can now go and build my own Treasury dashboard.”

That’s the shift I focus on:

From “I don’t understand this”
to “I can use this in my work immediately.”

3 things reinforced for me:

1. Finance professionals are ready for data

The conversation is no longer “Should we learn analytics?”

It’s now:
“How quickly can we build this capability?”

2. Context drives adoption

The moment we moved to real financial data,
engagement changed instantly.

Because relevance creates confidence.

3. Data literacy is becoming a competitive advantage

Teams that can interpret, question, and act on data
will outperform those that can’t.

Simple.

Thank you to ACTN for creating a learning environment where this kind of shift can happen.

Your team showed up ready, asked the right questions, and executed.

If you're building a team that needs to:

• Move beyond reporting into decision-making
• Understand and use data in daily operations
• Build internal analytics capability

I design hands-on, business-focused data training programs tailored to your team and industry.

In-person, virtual, or hybrid.

Let’s build something practical.

Four days. Bangkok. Different continents. One shared belief:

Young people are not waiting for the future anymore.

We are building it now.

The last few days in Thailand were one of the most meaningful experiences I have had in a long time.

What made it special was the shared sense of purpose in the room.

Young leaders from across Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas; all doing important work quietly in their own communities, organisations, and countries.

People building. Advocating. Leading.

Creating solutions long before anyone gives them permission to.

Over the four days, we exchanged ideas, challenged perspectives, worked through real global issues in workshops and discussions, and collectively contributed to conversations around advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

What stood out to me most was this:

The problems may be global.

But so is the willingness of young people to solve them.

I left Bangkok with:

- new friendships
- broader perspectives
- deeper conversations
- and an even stronger sense of urgency about the work still ahead

Because the conversations we had cannot remain inside conference rooms.

They have to translate into action.

To every delegate I had the opportunity to meet and learn from:

Thank you.

The conversations are not over.

Let us keep building.

Over a course of 3 days, I facilitated a data-driven training session for Energy Sales Representatives at Ikeja Electric

The work went beyond tools. It focused on analysis, intermediate to advanced formulas, and how to use data to think clearly, especially for professionals stepping into new departments and unfamiliar responsibilities.

When people change roles, the real challenge is not learning new systems. It is learning how to reason with information, how to trust their judgment, and how to make decisions they can stand behind.

That was where the energy in the room came from.
Practical questions.
Real scenarios.
A genuine desire to do the work better.

This is what happens when people development is treated as capacity building, not a checkbox.

Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to growth, clarity, and confidence within the energy sector. by @ifeomos_
