By the grace of God, I can now say that I am a University of Texas at Arlington Alumnus!

I want to thank God, My family and friends for their support and prayers throughout this journey.

I remember discovering the verse Jeremiah 29:11 and clinging onto it during one of the toughest periods in my college career. Having to temporarily abandon what I came to college for hit me hard. I felt behind, out of place and like I wasn’t fulfilling my dreams. I serve a God that turns everything for my good and that he did. He turned my tears of sorrow to tears of joy and gave me community I wouldn’t trade for the world. What A God! A God that believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. I am so proud of the woman he’s turned me to and the woman I am becoming by his grace. I owe all my glory and adoration to him.

Tomorrow, May 9, 2025…

The day that I finally get to celebrate one of my biggest accomplishments so far.

Wow! Where do I begin? If you know me, then you know that this testimony is worthwhile. I can’t begin to express my gratitude to almighty God for seeing me through such a journey full of uncertainty and doubts. Times where I thought I wouldn’t make it through. Times where I wondered why what was happening to me was happening. 5 years later all I can say is thank you God!!! I can’t say what would’ve happened if things worked out the way I thought they should’ve but, I’m so grateful that it didn’t. I’m grateful I didn’t get what I originally wanted because what I got was far more than I could’ve imagined. Amazing friendships, life lessons, growing faith and so much more. Thank you Abba father. Thank you for changing my life. Thank you for the growth that has happened over the course of my college career . I serve an on time God! Thank you for taking your time with me.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Your Word says there is a time for everything—a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate (Ecclesiastes 3). This year has held both breaking down and building up for me. At times, life felt so dark that light seemed distant, but you stepped in and changed my story, rewriting the chapters I thought I could write alone.

You wrap me in your love and surround me with people who reflect it so freely. You are my ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1), always near when I need you most. So, thank you, God, for bringing me out of darkness and into your light. Thank you for guiding me and reminding me that I can’t walk this path without you, no matter how hard I try. Here’s to another year of growing in your presence, knowing that you’re with me every step of the way.
