I think we need to have a more honest conversation about masculinity and how we raise boys.

From a young age, a lot of boys are taught how to be strong, how to provide, how to lead, and how not to appear weak. But how often are they taught how to communicate their feelings, process rejection, admit when they’re wrong, or ask for help?

And then we grow up and wonder why some men struggle with emotional vulnerability or feel threatened when traditional gender roles are challenged.

I’m not saying this applies to every man, and I’m definitely not saying that the way you were raised excuses how you treat people. But I do think we need to reduce the expectations we place on boys and how those expectations shape the men they become.

Maybe masculinity isn’t in crisis. Maybe we just need to rethink how we’ve taught men to understand themselves. by @ifiemee

Azelaic acid is one of those ingredients that quietly does A LOT.

This one from @hidirose.ng is amazing I tell you, very hydrating. Felt a tingling sensation when I started using it but it’s nothing uncomfortable, 10/10.

If you’re new to azelaic acid, I’d recommend starting slowly. Use it a few times a week and increase gradually depending on how your skin responds. And yes, sunscreen is still non-negotiable, especially when your goal is fading dark marks. by @ifiemee

🚨 Corticosteroid creams can be very effective for treating inflammatory skin conditions when used correctly and for the appropriate amount of time. But using them regularly without medical supervision especially on the face can cause serious skin problems.

Long-term or inappropriate use can lead to:

• Skin thinning and increased skin fragility
• Visible blood vessels
• Steroid acne and rosacea-like flare-ups
• Uneven pigmentation or lighter patches
• Increased risk of fungal and bacterial infections
• Delayed wound healing
• Rebound redness, burning, itching and irritation when stopped after prolonged use
• With extensive use of potent steroids, absorption into the body can also cause systemic side effects.

That temporary “glow” or improvement isn’t always a sign that your skin is getting healthier. Sometimes, you’re simply seeing the effects of the steroid.

Got my hands on another sunscreen from @supergoop The Everyday lotion. This sunscreen leaves no white cast and a dewy finish that I do not mind but I just wouldn’t want to wear this when the weather is so humid because you get a lot of shine from me.

But yes it is indeed water and sweat resistant! 10/10 for me!
