One of the most stunning meals I’ve had in a while 🍽️✨ Gavroche in Old Town blew me away — the Oeuf Arpège, deconstructed French onion soup, fork-and-knife ratatouille, and Duck a l’Orange were all incredible. Impeccable service, romantic artsy space. Save this for your next date night

Today is my Mom’s Birthday.
Thanks to @shawscrabhouse and @kamehachisushi we were able to celebrate over a wonderful lunch at her home with all of her favorite dishes.
Happy Birthday to the woman who gave me life, taught me strength, and showed me what unconditional love truly means. ❤️

The older I get, the more I realize just how much of who I am today is because of you. Your sacrifices, resilience, wisdom, and love have shaped me in ways words could never fully express.

Life has taught me many lessons, but some of the most important ones came from watching you navigate yours with courage and fenacity.

No matter how old I get or how much life I experience, I will always be your son, and you will always be one of my greatest blessings.

I hope you know how deeply you are loved, appreciated, and admired.

Happy Birthday, Mom. I love you more than words can ever say. ❤️ by @ifightdirty

Wine is like marriage, it’s proof that patience creates beauty.
I love great wine and gourmet food.
Eating is a necessity- dining is an art that awakens the senses.
One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.

Proud to serve as North American Ambassador for @caviarpolancousa since 2021

Exceptional taste.
Uncompromising standards.
A touch of intrigue.

From the finest tables to the most exclusive soirées, I’ll be introducing a little more luxury to the art of indulgence.

After all, some things are best enjoyed with a little Caviar.

@polancocaviar dare to indulge. by @ifightdirty

On my days off (Monday & Tuesday), I trade the restaurateur jacket for my other calling:
North American Ambassador for @caviarpolancousa

I spend my days doing Caviar tastings for potential clients and my nights dining at Chicago restaurants with my wife.

I always have Caviar on me.

So wherever we dine, I inevitably end up giving out Caviar bumps, putting Caviar on people’s food, and generally finding creative ways to improve perfectly good meals.

Honestly, I put Caviar on just about everything I eat on my days off.

If you’d like me to stop by and put Caviar on you—or your food—just DM me. by @ifightdirty

（🇺🇸 old town • chicago ）gavroche

• oeuf arpège $15
• hand-cut prime beef tartare $25
• escargots à la bourgogne $17
• yellowtail niçoise crudo $19
• king louis $28
• fork & knife ratatouille $27
• duck à l’orange $26
• parisole spritz $18

a little taste of paris in old town 🇫🇷 and @gavrochechicago just celebrated its 2-year anniversary 🎉

stopped by gavroche, an intimate neo-bistro bringing french technique together with seasonal midwestern ingredients.

we started with their signature oeuf arpège, probably one of the most unique dishes of the night. corn custard topped with brillat-savarin crème, grapes, freeze-dried corn, and caviar made for a really interesting mix of sweet, savory, and creamy flavors. definitely an appetizing way to start the meal.

the beef tartare and yellowtail niçoise crudo were also nice starters before moving onto the larger dishes. for a veggie option, the fork & knife ratatouille comes with roasted seasonal squash and seared eggplant.

the king louis was another favorite. the brisket & short rib blend made for a really good, flavorful patty 🍔 we also tried the duck à l’orange to round out the meal.

a cozy little french spot tucked away in old town and a nice one for date night 🥂
