THE MOST MAGICAL DAY!!

So honored to have been part of this wonderful event at the Kaufmann House celebrating the extraordinary life of Nelda Linsk, “The First Lady of Modernism Week”.

It was too fun to recreating those famous SLIM AARONS photo taken at the Kaufmann house in Palm Springs with so many treasured friends and Nelda herself. I’m sure many of you are aware of that particular famous photo titled POOLSIDE GOSSIP taken in 1970 (see last photo). It features Helen Kaptur (left) and Nelda Linsk (who owned the home at the time). Barry Manilow later owned this home as well.

The Kaufmann house was designed by Richard Neutra in 1946 for department store tycoon Edgar J. Kaufmann. The result was a 3200-square-foot mid-century modern masterpiece.

The house has been described as “an architectural marvel that helped define the modernist aesthetic of Palm Springs” and was designated a Class 1 Historic Site by Palm Springs City Council.

If you live in Palm Springs chances are you might have that Slim Aarons photo hanging in your house! The famous photograph has made such a cultural impact over the past 55 years! And it was so surreal to be there with Nelda yesterday. Nelda is as glamorous as ever ❤️
