4-Way FS specific tunnel sessions focussing on flying techniques and mechanics to learn and improve on the fundamentals of 4-Way, while having fun and ultimately becoming a better skydiver.

The sessions will be flying with a Halcyon team member to improve skills and mechanics of 4-Way formations in a more stable and controlled way. The flying time will be two 15 minute blocks of ten 1.5 minute rotations with 1-1.5 hours between sessions for debriefing and prep.

The sessions will cover:

- The 4-Way dive pool (Randoms and Blocks)
- Body position, turn mechanics & 4-way flying techniques
- Competition categories and progression
- Competition rules and what’s involved
- Assistance with team set up and training plans

Participant requirements:

- An active International Bodyflight Association (IBA) membership
- Be signed off by the iFly Melbourne instructors to enter/exit the tunnel and fly with with three other people
- Be a Victorian skydiver registered in the VTPC council area
- Able to fly a Melbourne tunnel speed of 66-67% (a weight belt may be required to achieve this)
- Ideally, have a Rel suit*

*A Rel suit for 4-Way isn’t crucial for the starting category of Blast where only the Random formations are flown but once you start turning Blocks, grippers are required. Plus, the boosters on a Rel suit provide significantly better manoeuvrability, stability and control.

Cost: $150 (rego form below)

After 3 incredible years, today we say a very big goodbye to our instructor Jords!

From helping first-time flyers find their confidence to supporting our regular flyers as they pushed their flying to the next level, Jords has been such a valued part of the iFLY family.

We’re so grateful for all the laughs, memories, and countless hours spent flying with us. You’ll definitely be missed around the tunnel!

All the very best for whatever comes next, Jords , once part of the iFLY family, always part of the iFLY family. We hope to see you back in the tunnel soon!

🎙️ And here, in the wilds of Essendon Fields, we find a fascinating species… the iFLY Club Member.

They came for indoor skydiving.

Then they caught the flying bug. 🪽

Our regular experiences are perfect for your first taste of human flight.

Club Membership is what comes next.

Fly regularly. Learn new skills. Progress. Join the community.

And this August, the species has discovered something rare… 👀

Join before 31 August and receive 10 BONUS MINUTES of flight time.

For Club 10 members, that’s basically an extra month of flying.

Bonus flight time excludes coaching, is added after your first successful GoCardless payment and must be used by 30 September 2026.

Welcome to the flock. 🪽 by @iflyaustralia
