Halloween Fun & Toddler Approved! This is hands down THE BEST free Halloween display in the city. Something we look forward to every year and seems to just get bigger and better year after year. This was the first year we’ve taken “The Toddler That Rules Our World” (she’s 2 1/2). We went on a sunny afternoon to reduce the full scary factor but she was having the time of her life and it was still absolutely awesome in the daylight. We’ll be back!
As always, Maisie’s House is free, but kindly accepts donations to S.C.A.R.S (animal rescue).
After Halloween, the yard is converted into a magical winter wonderland and Christmas display.

The wind picked up last night, sending leaves scattering beneath a deep indigo sky. Then came flashes of rare October lightning, followed by rain pouring down on us.

And somehow in the middle of it all, this little pocket of the city felt completely transformed: narrow colorful paths, a stairway leading to city views, and golden aspens with their white watchful trunks glowing against the darkening sky.

Maybe this is what October is all about. Wild fleeting, and a little moody. A little moment of late autumn, captured before it disappeared 🍂

Trees and nature, my happy place. Fall Strolls. I love these quiet pockets in the Edmonton River Valley.
I’ve been visiting this spot every few days. It was slower to turn yellow and between my last visit (still green) and yesterday somehow the leaves all turned yellow/brown and most have already fallen. 🍂 taken in Edmonton, Alberta by @ig.yeg
