Sometimes you get to go to the woods to make a movie with some cool people and it’s really special and your dear friend @reneegagner takes some sweet photos of your time there so you have to share. Sometimes that happens. 🛸 ✨ by @igeronimo

Final step in my academic life at AFI takes place tomorrow when we screen our thesis film NO COWBOYS which began as a pitch I made to our school 2 years ago based on a half baked screenplay idea I’d had one day staring at myself in the mirror thinking, “I should write a part for myself..”

NO COWBOYS is a heartbreaking meta modernist western that was a trial by fire to produce and the film is hard earned in that special way you’ve got to see for yourself. If you are in LA it’s not too late to RSVP for the screening (link in bio) but if not stay tuned for updates as we hit the festival circuit next.

All the love in my ever growing heart for the unreal team that took this from an incoherent rant of a screenwriter with imposter syndrome to a legit short film with some actual hurt to deliver💙

NO COWBOYS
Starring Carlos Miranda @los_cain , Skyler Okerstrom-Lang, Patrick Randolf and Page Morrow Kimbell

Directed by @piper_de_palma (who cowrote the screenplay as well)
Produced by @kaporalkba
Shot by @adam_birch
Designed by @haii9_8
Cut by Bo Wen
Cowritten by me
With invaluable contributions from @qiuping_han @locanilla @_emilygularte @eliaskyriakides and many many more

STATIC team on the red carpet of the DIFF ‘2026.

STATIC had its world premiere on 26th and 27th of April at Cinépolis Victory Park in Dallas.

STATIC pictures two soldiers in a small unit stranded in the field await a signal from their radio. When the signal finally comes as they stand apart; they must confront the possibility of the tenderness they’ve protected against erasure.
