My second drift competition in Japan, 4 months into my drifting journey. Definitely felt a lot more confident this time round but still got a lot to work on including, most importantly, my car 😅

Haven’t posted anything from Ryukyu Drift Championship 2026 yet, new long form YouTube video is currently in-edit and stumbled upon this nice little clip from practice runs. I’m really enjoying this journey, and I hope you can enjoy it with me!

2nd place finish in @okinawasuperdrift Advance Class 🥈

I honestly didn’t think I’d even made the best 8 after qualifying so was really glad to get another chance to drive and then to get on the podium for the first time was the cherry on top.

The layout looked simple but was surprisingly challenging, and for this to be only my 5th time drifting in the wet I’m proud of how I was able to adapt.

This is the first trophy I’ve won in my whole life so I’m going to treasure it, and make it the first of many!

Thank you to everyone who has supported me and helped me, especially @kaitai_drifter for spotting my runs and for his continued mentorship. Thank you also to my wife and kids who are my biggest fans.

I don’t have any footage of my final run but if it was as close as the points suggest to the winning run from @sone_jzx110 (which was sublime) then I’m really happy with how I responded under pressure.

Congratulations to the winner, to @oki_vanilla_gorilla on his 3rd place finish, and to Collin for a really strong 4th place finish.

I’m starting to enjoy these competitions more and more.
