We are especially honored to share that we received 1st Place Chapter of the Year (Large Chapter)!

This prestigious recognition reflects excellence in chapter management and operations, strong sisterly relations, thorough documentation, effective implementation of programs, collaborative efforts, active participation, membership retention, and community visibility.

A new pair of shoes can make a big difference!

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®, Iota Gamma Omega Chapter, hosted its annual Shoe Bank event, providing 77 pairs of shoes to 75 students across eight Prince George’s County elementary schools!

Students from Allenwood, Carmody Hills, Hillcrest Heights, Longfields, North Forestville, Panorama, Princeton, and Suitland Elementary Schools benefited from this year's initiative, which also saw an increased number of students with special needs served.

A special thank you to JCPenney in Forestville for its continued partnership in helping us put our best foot forward in service to our community!

428 patients. $276,701 in care. One community coming together to make a difference.

From sunup Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon, volunteers and healthcare professionals came together to provide free medical, dental, and vision care at the Remote Area Medical (RAM) clinic at Prince George’s Community College.
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®, Iota Gamma Omega Chapter and the Ivy Community Charities of Prince George’s County partnered with the Mount Rose Chapter of The Links, Incorporated (hosts), Gamma Pi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, and Hear to H.E.A.L. to sponsor the clinic.
Together, we served 428 patients and provided $276,701 in medical services—meeting needs, removing barriers, and putting service into action.

31st Annual 5K Walk/Run: making an impact, one step at a time! 🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾

Sponsored by The Ivy Community Charities of Prince George's County, Inc. and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®, Iota Gamma Omega Chapter, the event raised $22K, collected 1,688 nonperishable food items, and received $300 in gift cards. Our sponsors provided resources, snacks flu shots, and more!
Proceeds support efforts to fight childhood hunger, stock community cupboards, promote mental health awareness, and strengthen youth programs throughout Prince George’s County.
