My shortened 2026 outdoor season came to an end. After getting back to racing this indoor season, the aim was to focus a bit more on results in outdoors. Sadly, I got the mono virus one week after. This caused for a 6 week delay in training, so I had to start the NCAA season for @ionaxctf on hardly any specific work.

Made the best of it with a small PB in my season opener. I blew a good position in the conference 1500m final, but shortly after won the 4x800m with a really special team🫶

Back in the Netherlands, I finally got the race I knew I had in the legs for at least 2 years. 3:45:44 in Brussels; a 5 second PB with more in the tank for the upcoming years.

I had the pleasure to close out my season at the national team championships for @leidenatletiek on my home track, closing the final 2 laps of a 1500 in 1.55 to secure second place and 12 points for the team💙

The main goal for 2026 was to get races in and stay healthy, and I succeeded in that. Now I’m taking some rest and start building again🧱
