I know most don’t read long posts. But I don’t really care today.

What you see in the photo is Grand Church of St. Eustache, which I discovered for my self at the age of 16..

In 2006, Roller coaster park that I was working at was sending best employees to Paris. Extremely nice and thoughtful of them. One person didn’t have a passport so they’ve sent me, 16yo part time worker to check out Disneyland. Somewhat deserve. Though I did have strong work ethics at that age, I wouldn’t get there without a little bit of luck.

So here I am, walking around Paris, been offered best French onion soup in the middle of cold Feb(and perhaps my first glass of white wine as well). I loved Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower. But somehow, after been semi lost I have stumbled upon this massive beautiful church. Covered in a bit of snow. There were no tourist and I’ve never heard of it before. It was peaceful and beautiful. Now that I think about it, that’s exactly where I fell in love with Paris. In my serenity, on a bench, looking at grey winter sky over St. Eustache’s arches.

This year I was not planning to go to Paris. But hey! The best ticket home was departing from CDG, so I had to do a little stop. Find this church on google maps somehow and do a revisit. Walk to it, now in summer.

This time it’s square was full of people. Sunny Saturday. People doing markets, looking so Parisian, so fun, confident, charming, lovely and chic. My return was even better than I expected. It made me think tho -

20 years later, I am reminded how lucky I am. For everything I have. All the opportunities, friends, family - and all that it gave me. This place really made me feel grateful. It felt like it’s come full circle. Who knows, perhaps so I can start a new beginning. Not sure right now..:) However - To you my friends I so thank you, for making this far, with me. And cheers to new beginnings ❤️

One of favorite things about going away is getting semi-lost wondering in a new town. And stumbling upon the meal of the month in a small alleyway. It comes in plastic bag. It’s messy. Doesn’t look great. But one bite sends you to heaven. My kind of paradise 🤌 by @igorutin
