During a routine creation study, Subject 17 was asked to describe his relationship with his creator.

The expected responses included:

FATHER.
MAKER.
GOD.
AUTHOR.
UNKNOWN.

The subject remained silent for 43 seconds.

Then he looked directly into Camera B and said:

“HE DOESN’T KNOW WE’RE AWAKE.”

There was no Camera B.

The interview was immediately terminated.

The subject continued answering questions.

REMEMBER:

• Creation does not imply ownership.

• Observation does not necessarily occur in one direction.

• Never inform a subject that it has been created.

• Never inform the creator that it is being observed.

• If a subject refers to its creator as “he,” do not ask for clarification.

• If several subjects begin using the word “we,” END THE SESSION.

VIDEOWORD researchers previously assumed created systems were incapable of perceiving conditions outside their own reality.

A clean studio is a productive studio.

At VIDEOWORD®, cleanliness means more than wiping equipment, organizing cables and washing your hands.

It means keeping the present free from contamination by the past and future.

We call this:

TEMPORAL HYGIENE.

Every employee carries traces of adjacent time into the workplace:

A childhood memory.
Tomorrow’s headache.
A conversation that hasn’t happened yet.

Inside a recording studio, these materials may accumulate.

REMEMBER:

• Wash your hands before and after handling magnetic tape.
• Never bring yesterday’s coffee into today’s session.
• Do not wear clothing you remember wearing tomorrow.
• Keep future memories in approved containers.
• If a coworker greets you twice, respond only to the first instance.
• Never share headphones with an earlier version of yourself.
• CLOCKS ARE NOT TO BE CLEANED WHILE RUNNING.

Early symptoms include déjà vu, missing hours, premature nostalgia and remembering conversations before they happen.

Advanced contamination may produce duplicate employees, reversed injuries, nonexistent relatives and residue from discontinued timelines.

PHASE CANCELLATION
A VIDEOWORD COMMUNICATIONS COMPANY TRAINING FILM

Every sound has a shape.

Every shape has an opposite.

At VIDEOWORD®, keep them separated.

PHASE CANCELLATION occurs when identical waveforms arrive in perfect opposition.

One pushes.

The other pulls.

The result is silence.

This is basic audio engineering.

Unfortunately, sound is not the only thing with a phase.

During early synchronization experiments, VIDEOWORD engineers discovered that two nearly identical events could occupy the same location with opposite temporal polarity.

The events cancelled.

The room became quieter.

Then smaller.

Then one engineer disappeared.

His chair remained.

REMEMBER:

• Check microphone polarity.
• Never duplicate a signal you cannot identify.
